The actual property was nice, the owner I'm told is from the US.and is about 10 yrs old. & The restaurant is 2 years old.
The grounds are very well cared for, & they are I think trying to make this a boutique hotel/ motel ( 3 stories) and about 20 rooms.
The workers are young, kind ,and seem to like their jobs. The pool is not large but nice & clean &warm with lovely sapphire blue tile covering the entire surface, sides & bottom . The rooms are very comfy, & has great detail with ALL handmade built in furniture from the desk. Bar, entire kitchen , bedframe, and bedside tables, and entire bathroom! It also has a nice balcony & views.
My only complaint was the location!- a loud, busy. narrow two lane street backs up to the property & is a major thoroughfare for the city. It's not easy driving, and walking is 15 minutes to the marina, through poor homes & shops& The price can't be beat, so give and take. (FYI Also the price of all food / beverages in the area are much higher then US 4$ roadside tacos!?). Lastly the restaurant is not too pricey, but not cheap , & has daily baked goods fyi fresh but too little sugar and taste except for choc. Chip cookies which were exceptional.
