Had a great time
My first time staying at a "Chateau". The property is beautiful, and the view of the city from your hotel room is also one of our highlights of this trip. Also, we enjoyed the bar very much. The staff of this hotel are friendly and helpful too.

Nice hotel, beautiful views, great staff, comfortable beds. Be aware if traveling in warmer months, regular rooms have no air conditioning. I find that unacceptable for high end hotel. The main purpose of hotel is to provide there guests a comfortable room to end your day with and get a goodnight rest. Can’t do that in a warm humid hotel room. Very disappointing. There suits are air conditioned only.

The hotel is amazing with a great location. We had a perfect view of lake Lucerne from our room. The lift to go down to the main town was right next to the hotel and it was easy to get to the city from there. Our room was clean, large and spacious. There was a great restaurant in the hotel and the staff was warm, courteous and extremely helpful. There was parking at the hotel as well. Would highly recommend staying here.

Unique Experience
Beautiful hotel. Lots of character and that castle-feel we hoped for. The hotel's funicular to transport you straight to town was great. All employees were very friendly and helpful. We very much appreciated the fan provided in our room as it does not offer air conditioning. They offered us prosecco when we checked in which allowed me to forgive the 1 stray hair we found in the shower. We would definitely recommend.

Historic beauty, but no AC in summer
The hotel is beautiful and has lovely views. Staff are kind and attentive. Unfortunately, since it is a historic building, it lacks some modern conveniences like air conditioning, coffee makers/water kettles in all rooms. As well, screens are not on windows or doors, so it’s best to leave the lights off to reduce number of insects in room, if opening windows or balcony doors at night to allow a bit of a breeze to combat the heat. Rooms are small but quaint. Beds comfortable and ample hot water. The funicular was broken the entirety of our stay, which made the hotel feel more remote and not convenient. Complimentary shuttle was available to pick up and drop off at the bottom of the funicular, but since the last car needed to be back at the hotel by 8pm, it was also limited. Overall, do not feel the cost and value were on par. Would recommend staying at a hotel with AC in Luzern proper, and go to the hotel for a cocktail around sunset to see and appreciate the spectacular views which are its best asset.

Iconic location with mind boggling views. Very attentive staff. Very good breakfast with good choices. Very close to city centre via the funicular. Will definitely recommend. The hotel is as expected old so the rooms are converted to modern standards. The bathroom is quite tiny with exhaust non-existent. We visited when Lucern was going through a hot spell. The air conditioner was too small for the size of the room which was split into two levels. Very good restaurant and bar on site with lots of functions going on. A great hotel to stay atleast once.
