Colorful Happiness
So, I started coming here cuz I had never been to Joshua Tree, the stay is cheap, the place is colorful and private, and I like to get away from the city during the holidays. I’ve now been here many times and I love it. They have recently repainted every unit all the wonderful colors and also repaved the driveway. I appreciate when owners take care of their property. The owner is a cool guy always a warm welcome and said he’s a gemologist which explains the cool crystals in the office. He’s colorful and I like that. The rooms are everything you need. The double bed is more like a king size, the AC and heat work great, nice big DirecTV, hot water, colorful big room, Kitchen with full fridge/freezer, coffee maker, microwave, but the best thing is the sunrise view… just magic. I hope he considers putting a hot tub where the old pool was but it will make a nice sun deck or garden maybe someday. Being so colorful forces you to be happy. Go be happy. 10/10

Check-in was easy. The staff was great. The beds were very comfortable. AC worked well. TV was a generous size. And the room had a microwave and mini fridge. The condition of rooms could use a little more attention. Wall paint was peeling, base trim on the floors were peeling off, the caulking and seal around the AC could use some attention. The bathroom could have used a trash can. But overall, we got a good night's sleep!

The owner very welcoming. I would come back again how great the rates are and the convenience for the surrounding areas like JT. However is needs a little upgrade but cant complain. At least the beds are comfortable.

We couldn’t spent the night there, the place was nice and it looked clean but when we were about to go to bed, we found bedbugs. It was late so we just left but came back the next day to let the owner know. He was rude and he kicked us out of his property calling us liars and telling us he paid so cheap to complain.

9 palms was really colorful. We found that hilarious, and while the place is definitely not new And the park area could certainly be resurfaced, we received excellent service. The place was clean enough and for an inexpensive quick stay, we were very content. The room size is generous and the kitchen area was great to have.

Very good value for a sizable, well furnished and clean room (actually a little cottage with kitchenette and patio). Quiet, centrally located in 29 Palms and right on US 62 to access Joshua Tree. Friendly and accommodating ownership. Very comfortable weekend stay in a very interesting town to visit in the desert.

The rainbow inn is welcoming and charming. It’s just off the main road beyond the hill, which you cannot miss its vibrant colors. It looks over the small town and you can see far through the plains and hills. It’s very beautiful that way, and close to the JTNP too. My partner and I felt comfortable and happy during our stay.
