My stay at El Caite was absolutely amazing! The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of San Juan del Sur, close to everything, including great restaurants, shops, and all the main attractions. The bar downstairs is simply outstanding. The service is impeccable, the staff are friendly and professional, and the overall atmosphere is exactly what you want when staying in a vibrant beach town. I will definitely be coming back without hesitation and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting San Juan del Sur!

I believe that their add on Expedia says beach property. It’s a block away. They have a nice restaurant but restaurant patio is 4 feet away on an open patio. You can hear them as well they would hear you too?

The Caite hotel was formerly the “Barrio Cafe” and hotel. For about $40 per night including breakfast, you can’t beat it. The cafe and restaurant have excellent food, coffee and beverages. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the air conditioning is cold. I don’t spend much time in the room, so I don’t need more expensive accommodations. I have stayed the 3 times before and will stay there again.

Very safe spot with security all night. In my case the room was very clean. No bugs. Room #6 on the balcony. Very comfortable bed and pillows. I believe the rooms have newly been built so they're modern.theres a restaurant inside so food/drinks are always available. Breakfast was included and also very good. Stayed a Friday and Saturday night. All in all, no complaints 10/10. Will be back there on my next trip!

It’s a small room, no rack to put luggages; requested chairs was privided. Bed was comfortable. Room had balcony; was raining most of the time so wasn’t able to enjoy it. Loved staying here especially **during a weekday** staff and guest were polite about the noise and respected closing time at the bar making it quiet after 9/10pm. The restaurant is styled like a sports bar, it has great breakfast selections, not sure about lunch/dinner. The coffee options were 10/10. For a hostel it felt more like what tourist can expect at Hotels: clean sheets, comfortable bed/pillows, towels, great a/c, tv with apps, and your private bathroom. Disclosure rollaway beds are not available here. There’s no parking but I had no issue parking my car on the street. Overall I would stay here again, not sure how noisy it can get on the weekends considering other reviewers but like I mentioned that wasn’t an issue for me during the week.

I will start with the positive of El Caite which is its location - it’s very close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. We enjoyed the convenience. The negative was our room had a broken door which let in warm air and noise. It’s a busy street. The room wasn’t very clean. The floor and bathroom had a lot of hair on it. I noticed a red stain (yikes) on one of the bath towels. Hot water was intermittent which is not uncommon for Nicaragua. I never felt like the staff was very friendly especially compared to other places in Nicaragua. Overall our stay was just OK. I think it was overpriced for what we got.

The staff was snotty but when I approach them on the roaches in the room they did not care.. the breakfast was one pancake spit in to many pieces and if you wanted a little chocolate everything was extra.. we had a two night stay and left the day we saw the roaches ..we are going to many places in Nicaragua and stay in many of hotels this was a big letdown
