Lucca in Azzurro Maison de Charme

Check in was easy and quick. The staff was very accommodating, nice and helpful. The room was spacious and spotless. The shower was nice with good water pressure and hot water. Breakfast great and loved the parking inside the gate on the property felt very safe.

Suite was a large room but bed was uncomfortable with hard mattress. The owner was very nice but the lady working the following morning was not very attentive. We waited 15 minutes for coffee and the coffee station was not self serve. The lady was not very nice to guests and seemed bothered to have to fix coffee.

The grounds were nice, the room was clean. Did not like key card entry to the building and controlling power, hence was unable to charge any devices while off the property. Breakfast was sparse, coffee was excellent. No customer service as staff was not present except at check in for a few minutes and to prepare morning coffee. The toiletries looked like they were decades old -- not what I would expect in a property of this caliber.

During our stay my wife had medical situation, she had back pain and could not move at all. Hotel staff strongly suggested us go to see the doctor immediately, which is Sunday morning the most un-convenient time, therefore hotel staff called the ambulance went to the emergency department of local hospital. They also gave us a room for 2 extra days so my wife had complete rest to helping her recovery.

Close to Lucca with free parking and good WiFi and good breakfast. If we had not gone early in afternoon to check in we would not have found out about checkin procedure and getting into the building after 7. We are glad we didn’t get locked out

Lovely accommodations, extremely helpful staff, short walk to Lucca city center, outdoor sitting areas were lovely as well! Highly recommend! LAM bus stop just across the street. Easy taxi to train station. Very well kept & clean.

This hotel was just lovely. Staff was extremely helpful. I lost my cell phone and when I spoke to the police, I could not understand what was being said. The young woman took the call for me and was able to find someone to explain how to retrieve it. The hotel was beautiful and had free parking. I loved this place!

The staff, particularly Ilenya, are attentive, respectful, and very responsive. I liked the linens - they are a nice quality, and the pillow cases were pressed. The terrace was very pleasant, and was a nice place to relax after a day walking. The front rooms do get street noise, but with windows closed, it's quiet. Overall, a great place to stay, and within a 15-minute walk to the wall.

Kudos to hard working, friendly staff member Lara. She very kindly sought out non allergenic toiletries for me. She seems to manage both reservations and the breakfast service. The hotel is nicely furnished and well maintained. There’s a very pleasant deck on the 2nd floor - lovely in the morning sun.

It was a well appointed room. They had on-site secure parking. The breakfast was good with coffee made per your order which was nice. We realized that we could order eggs cooked to our liking but there was no signage or mention of that possibility. Unfortunately we only noticed that someone was being served as we were finishing. We arrived after check-in time and there was no one to greet us so we waited for approx. 15 minutes in a very small entry with a couple of uncomfortable chairs which was unusual and barely a hello when the staff member did show up. Not our usual B&B experience while traveling 2 months throughout Italy. Sorry, but overall it was a “meh” for us. Loved Lucca!!
