The room size was great as well as the proximity to campus. We didn't like the fould smell of the common areas and teh parking garage was too small.

5 years of stays always fantastic!
We have stayed here for the last 5 years and love this spot! Garage parking is great to have for motorcycle riders (us) and the hotel is clean and nicely updated. Staff is always helpful, including one year they ran my clothes through their dryer when they got wet- we had a ride in the rain and my saddlebag cover didn't keep it completely dry! I was extremely grateful because I had no dry clothes and to boot I had been I'll right before our 5 hr ride to get the hotel. Needless to say I put them in Ziploc clothing bags now but it was such a comfort to have their assistance. Location is great in walking distance to the local restaurants and bars. Highly recommend and we hope to return again next year!

It was an excellent stay at the scholar hotel. One of the cleanest hotels I ever stayed in. It is close to restaurants and bars so it was nice for one to walk to the bars and restaurants. Very helpful and friendly staff. Can’t wait for our next stay.

Hotel in a great location if you are visiting WVU. It is walking distance to almost everything. Staff was pleasant and room was clean

The parking garage is one of the strangest parking garages I’ve been too and it’s pretty much one lane through the whole garage so thank goodness it wasn’t busy. You could smell smoke in the elevators and the side of the mattresses were stained with urine, blood, or something else. The receptionists were wonderful but for such a new hotel, I’d expected a lot better

The manager is great. The location is perfect for restaurants and shopping and so close to my son’s place. We will be back again for sure.
