The Focus hotel is conveniently located. Because of a wedding the first night of our stay and the location of our room, we did not get much sleep. Our suggestion to management was to book those not attending the wedding at the opposite side of the hotel. We only received a “sorry”. Another night there was very loud music until after midnight. Other hotels ask for quiet after a certain time. This would be appreciated.

Our room was nice, clean and comfortable. Staff and services I found quite lacking, breakfast wasn't very good quality and very expencive by local standard.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Despite our reservation being for 2 people, we usually had just 1 bath towel and hand towel. The staff was helpful in calling for taxis for us. Breakfast was good.

Two problems during the stay: 1. Wifi was very poor - reported it to staff who said someone might come to fix it the next day. Barely worked in the room during our 3 day stay. 2. Room key was incorrectly made twice - had to make a trip to the reception 3 times to get the key replaced.

Recently, on short notice, my wife and I traveled to Poland for an official visit. We made the reservation via Expedia.com at the Focus Hotel Katowice-Chorzow for one week at the end of the month of May. Upon our arrival we were informed that the central cooling system was out of order, but that spare parts had already been ordered. From my travel experiences this is typically an issue that is resolved quickly at a hotel and did not raise any alarms for us at check-in. We also made a reservation to host a meeting at the hotel with a large group of attendees and had already sent out official invitations. Regrettably, the room temperature was 28 0C [82.40F] and despite a very long and arduous International journey, we had an extremely uncomfortable and sleepless night. As I pointed out, the purpose of our trip to Poland was in an official capacity that required formal daily attire; having to dress properly while exhausted from the heat and being continuously sweaty presented a real challenge. We complained the following day and the desk manager offered another room, with basically the same temperature. At that moment, we requested a fan for our room as a temporary solution. Unfortunately, this situation continued until our departure. We feel that the agreement between guest and hotel was not fulfilled as it should have been. Es war kein schöner aufenthalt Lage war super aber die Parkplatz Schranke müsste immer einen Parkschein rauslassen das hat genervt.Sauberkeit ist nicht mehr so wie vor 2 Jahren.Man musste es an der Rezeption sagen das es sauber gemacht werden müsste Hatten keinen Kühlschrank bei den Temperaturen über 25 Grad konnten nichts Kühlen.Die eine Tischlampe war Defekt der Föhn ging nur 3 Minuten und dann war er zu heiß und ging nicht mehr man musste ihn aus dem Fenster halten zum abkühlen im Zimmer waren überall tote insekten geklebt.

Check in war freundlich, nett und schnell ohne Komplkationen. Zimmer war nicht 100 % sauber (Bettwäsche schmutzig/kaputt und Bodenteppich nicht überall gesaugt). Rest (Bad) sauber und großzügig Platz.
