About 9Hotel Moldy.
Stay was Oct. 4-7, 2024. At check-in we were advised that there would be one bottle of water in our room for the whole stay, otherwise we would have to pay for water out of the mini fridge. Why is this pettiness even discussed with someone who is paying $359 for a suite?
We opened the door to Suite 601 and were immediately hit with a strong smell of mold. The bathroom was worse. If we weren't so tired (10:00 p.m.) at check-in, we would have turned around and checked back out.
We called about this every day at least once, causing stress and wasting our vacation time. No one ever did anything about it. They would send the housekeeper up and have her scrub the shower again. Of course this wasn't going to solve anything. They needed a professional to address the root of the problem. Speaking of the shower, It flooded every time you took a shower. Water pooled and spilled out onto the floor. The sink also drained slowly. The vinyl flooring is coming up in several places and it caused my husband to trip a couple times.
The hotel is quite dark, from the breakfast room, lobby to our room. The hallways are black. The bathroom is all black, floors, doors, walls. This is not conducive to doing things you need to do in a bathroom such as your hair and makeup. I did my makeup on the terrace. It isn't practical.
This was our 40th anniversary trip. The other hotels we stayed at were incredible. We actually dreaded coming back to the Hotel9 Moldy each night
