First of all, the staff was seemingly nice, but didn't direct us to our room even though we were clearly headed the wrong way.
Secondly, the room had cobwebs on the ceiling.
The bed was the worst part. We had booked a double bed, and got 2 single beds that are just close together, impossible to cuddle as they drift apart making someone fall to the floor.
But that's not the end of it, the bed is rock hard, and the pillows are paper thin, however there are additional pillows in the drawer but these are also thin.
Not to mention the bed is really short, as in, my feet were dangling out of it. I'm a bit taller at 187. But my partner is around 175 and they had problems as well. Not standard 200cm bed.
But that's not the end of sleeping troubles, the soundproofing is horrible so you can hear the receptionists talking or anything else going in the rooms around you. The noise from outside is blocked out decently, but you have a full immersive experience of what everyone else is doing.
We also booked a room with a view to the river, however since it was on the first floor, there wasn't much to see, and the evacuation staircase blocked most of the river, also a strange decision to put plants that block your view where the stairs don't?
It is also trivially easy to go to other people's balconies as the only thing separating you are the few potted plants.
Too expensive for the experience, and don't bother paying extra for the view.
The breakfast was fine, croissants are great.
