Bad New Years Eve choice
The mattress was like sleeping on a slab- beyond firm - could not get comfortable- even my husband who prefers a firm mattress complained about it being very hard and uncomfortable. Then the room they put us in was right across from a bar on New Year’s Eve - and the hotel was far from full- if you stay there - request to be on the south east side - not the north west unless you want to be up until 3 am with all the party crowd. We should have thought about it - but we didn’t when we went to bed after welcoming the new year at midnight- but had to listen to loud Music, screaming, and revving engines for a couple of hours

We had a wonderful stay. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered several choices. Everything was fresh. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The area was quiet, surrounded by lovely townhouses and apartments. The area offers several restaurants. We will stay here on our next visit to Lubbock!

Animal friendly is an issue for me.
I will say, it doesnt thrill me that the hotel is animal friendly, but there was a little dog across the hall that continued to bark, I went down to the front off and complained, I never heard the dog again. The same thing had happened at my previous stay as well, I didnt consider complaining, I just lost sleep. I enjoy my stay each time, its a nice place but I believe next time I will stay at a different place that is not animal friendly. I am allergic to the dogs, I dont like that it seems everywhere I turn, theres a dog…so if you are ok with that, then I say stay there!!! Its not for me though.

Uncomfortable
The room was cleanly and whatnot however I had an issue with the bathroom door, it didn’t close no matter how hard you try it was stuck and I was traveling with my mother and two sisters which made showers very uncomfortable. I asked an employee about the issue and it was never followed up with. We arrived very late in the night and were tired so I just accepted it and went to bed. But honestly very uncomfortable experience and lack of customer service.
