Staff were very accommodating, helpful and kind. Went above and beyond to make our stay a success. Thank you very much for a wonderful first impression of Beijing hospitality! I will certainly be back.

The bathroom area needs more light and had sewage smell for the first two days then it gotten betterment

A traditional treat : A truly authentic traditional Chinese hotel with its antique and classical setup and decor. Friendly and helpful staff. Adequate beakfast and reasonable priced menu for dinner.Bathroom facilities need a hand shower in family room though. Good all round hotel and quite well located. KS Yeo Malaysia

Beautiful premises with hutong character. Walkable to hutong area with many restaurants and 2 metro stations close by. I found private transfer service of 1000 yuan to Great Wall and 400 for 15 minute ride at western train station or airport very expensive so I made my own arrangements.

The hotels.com map location was incorrect, get directions from hotel. The hotel was great! The breakfast in the courtyard was very good. We were given the choice of a western or Chinese breakfast each day. The hotel was warm and comfy after a day walking around chilly Beijing. The room was clean and spacious for our family of four including two teenagers.There are two nearby subway stations and a street with food shops.

This hotel is amazingly unique. We got a huge suite filled with antiques and carved wooden furniture. The staff was incredibly hospitable and spoke excellent English. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and provided us with a menu for lunch and two complimentary tickets to see the Chinese Shadow Theater show at their neighboring sister hotel later that evening. They also offered custom tours to the Wall or around the city, which sadly we didn't have time for. But they did get us a nice car to take us to the airport the next day! The only complaint I have is that our room opened out to a common courtyard (which is beautiful) shared with the rest of the rooms, so when people started getting up in the morning you could hear them talking and eating breakfast just outside. Really that didn't bother us too much as we don't tend to sleep in. Sadly we were only in Beijing for a day, next time we visit we will stay longer at this property and do more sightseeing!

Hotel is beautiful, and the collection of ancient artifacts is impressive aNd worth a look. Staff was friendly and helpful - although level of English not great, we did manage to communicate to fet everything we needed/wanted. Food is delicious (but table-setting at dinner could be improved). Our room was large and the bathroom was lovely - huge bathtub!!! The location was definitely off the beaten track, local friends thought it was amazing we were staying in the hutong! Very quiet too.

We really enjoyed our stay here, its a small boutique hotel in a lovely location down a residential hutong. It's small size means you can get to know the staff who were very friendly (shout out to Seven). We had a room down stairs which was great as it was quiet and a good size, although could have done with some more lights in the room to make up for the lack of the natural light. It's about 10 mins walk to a couple of subways so easy to access Beijing. Breakfast was tasty and we really enjoyed the food in the evening which was excellent. Would stay here again next time we are in Beijing!

Built around courtyard like a building in the olden times. It was warm as the building was in cased in glass which made it unique and only a 10/15 minute walk to the lake and restaurants. And 10 minutes to the tube station
