Hotel Domspitzen

Hotels in Cologne are very expensive and the rooms seem to be very small. The room we were assigned to was on the top floor (chambre de bonne) and the bathroom was very tiny (we are slim ladies and we had barely any room to move around without bumping into things). The best part of our stay was complimentary breakfast service at the hotel. The layout was neat with just the right amount and kinds of breakfast foods. The kitchen also cooks eggs and bacon to your liking. Staff members were very kind and helpful as well. Hotel is located right across from the Central Train Station and is walking distance to Cologne Cathedral.

I was not happy and I dont think my needs were met - the staff were nice and accomodating but they either could give me a part of what I needed: either an ensuite bathroom (for Euro10 extra) without wifi or no ensuite and wifi! A challenge if you are there for work and have to use the dining room to work in. The place does need a refurbishment and ideally with some soundproofing or air conditioning. I did stay in a hotel 50 metres from this one before with all these facilities including coffee maker in the room and no real difference in price. Domspitzen was my choice I accept that but I would not go back and I am bemused at the high scores it gets.

It was an excellent choice for our needs. Breakfast was fresh and appetizing with variety and sufficient protein and carbohydrate foods. The price was good also. Staff members were very helpful

Hotel's location is excellent - easy access to train station and the cathedral. The breakfast is the best we've had on this trip, even includes made to order omelets. The staff are particularly helpful and friendly. Though the room was small, it was charmingly appointed and the beds were comfortable.

Nothing at all for this hotel Far from the train station Room amenities are terrible Cleanness is average Breakfast is minimal and almost everything is shortage Staff's service mind can't be poorer, they don't want to help you with anything Just ask for the water at breakfast and got nothing except his back walking away In my all hotels I've ever stayed this is the worst one of all Also pricy compare to the quality If someone would like to stay around there I suggest pay a little bit more or less to stay at other hotels There are tons of better hotel around there

Excellent breakfast and helpful staff. Loved the fresh flowers in reception and breakfast area.

Liked the place. Breakfast (as many others have said) was top hole. Good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Only complaint: tea/coffee making faculty in room would be really handy - don't know if it's a British thing but nice to have a hot drink before you get dressed (or go to bed).

I brought cheese from Amserdam and wanted to keep it cold for my diration of stay... Mr. Stefan was happy to keep it in the hotel's refrigerator. Bf is sufficient w yoir choice of eggs. Other staffs were equally pleasant to deal with... .Will return here to stay.

The room had plenty of space and comfortable beds. Parking is always an issue in a college town

Everyone was so polite and helpful. Hotel close to the train station (good), but quiet (even better). The complimentary breakfast was amazing! And complimentary chocolate candies were everywhere.
