We had a few nights in Chengdu and couldn’t of chosen a better hotel for our stay. Great location, helpful staff and a great in house restaurant to boot! I will definitely return!

Great Location
This hotel was nice, but definitely takes a little getting used to. Our room had a large jacuzzi located right inside the doorway. Behind it was the bathroom and shower, fully exposed, with only a couple glass sliding doors on one side, so privacy in the bathroom is pretty non-existent. The location was great though and we had a balcony that overlooked a main street. We were only a couple blocks from the famous West Street.

Great location, nice staff, good room.
We stayed here for one night and it was in a very central location. They had bike rentals on-site, they were able to do laundry for us, and were very accommodating. The internet was great and the room was clean and cool enough to get a good night's sleep. All around great experience!

Best Western Style Hotel in Yangshuo
I have traveled to China 4 times. Staying in the "4" star hotels and the "No" star hotels. This by far is the best I have stayed in. All the staff I encountered spoke English. The room with it's 2 person whirlpool spa tub, select comfort Mattress is great. The location just off Western Street is excellent. You will not be disappointed staying here.

Great location, less comfortable
To start off, the positives. The hotel staff is fantastic, friendly, and speak decent English. Location wise, the hotel is right by the main gift and food strips so anything you want is within a few minutes walk. The room itself was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately for us the room ended up being more open than I would have liked; my fault for not reading more reviews in advance of booking. The toilet, shower, and bed are in the same room There is only a sliding glass door blocking the one side of the toilet so it is otherwise open to the room...makes the living experience more intimate than my wife and I would have liked. Then, taking up half the room is a massive jet tub (bigger than the bed) that was fairly unnecessary given the small size of the room. With the heat outside I couldn't see soaking in a hot tub in my room. So when you book, be aware of what is in the room. Also since our room faced out to the busy street below it was quite loud in our room...get a room to the rear if possible. If my comfort in the hotel room were higher I would have rated much better since the staff was great and hotel was so clean. Maybe better suited to others than myself.

Enchanting little hotel
Great little boutique hotel! Charming furnishings, great food in restaurant and wonderful staff- especially Ann who spoke great English, had tons of energy, and knew how to arrange everything. Couldn'the have been more pleased and hope to return there some day.

Great location and service
Best thing we found in China. A very helpful English speaking staff, especially Annie who helped us with our bike and boat trips. She made Yungshuo a truly fabulous experience for us. The breakfast here was more than adequate and the location of this hotel was within walking distance to all the main attractions of this quaint little city. It was the highlight of our China trip and we recommend this hotel very very highly to all future travelers to China. Hans Tischner, Citrus Springs,Florida,USA

Nice hotel - best for couples.
The staff was very helpful and friendly and spoke some English. I think this is one of the better hotels in this wonderful small town. The only caveat is that the shower and toilet both have clear glass walls (which seems to be 'the style' for hotels catering to Chinese these days, but it is not so great if you are traveling with your son, as I was.

Home Away from Home
Thanks to Annie at the Bamboo House Resort we had the best time in Yangshuo! The hotel was in a great location right at the end of West End Street, so we could walk the shopping streets at any time and soak in the local culture. Annie took care of every detail for our side adventures too (boat trip on the Le River, tickets to the Water Show, bikes to ride into the countryside).

Great room in nice location for 50$
For 50$ per night, we had a great experience at this hotel. It's a family-runned small hotel, very central but quiet enough with nice and quite diverse rooms. Many of them have really nice spas. Our friends had a spa for 4-5 people!! There is no separation between toilets and bed, so fits mostly for couples. They let us pick our room and we took one with balcony of the inner yard for more tranquility.

Go for the largest room only
We booked 3 rooms. The deluxe rooms which are the largest are good. The smaller rooms, deluxe queen and executive are awful as the beds are too large for the room with no space for anything else. Could be claustrophobic for some. The only good thing is the toilet bowl with great bidet facilities. Food in the hotel is expensive and below average. The reception limited as they are, are helpful. But remember this is an INN not a hotel. Do not expect hotel like facilities. The location is fantastic. West street is just minutes from the door. Yangshuo Pier is also 5 minutes away. No telephone in the rooms with only a kettle for hot water. I had the smaller and my bed was never made. All it had was a large comforter sitting on the oversized bed in a very small room. You hang clothings on the bed, no closet. Not sure how the other inns in Yangshuo are like. But go for the larger rooms ONLY.

Good location, OK Hotel
Bamboo is nondescript on outside, but when you walk in your room (mine was Deluxe), you think wow! Then reality sets in. It's like a studio with everything crammed in. Using hot tub or excessive hot shower leads to steam everywhere. Toilet is a little too revealing if you're sharing with anyone you would be embarrassed by your bathroom habits. Bed is a little stiff but OK. Good location to West street. It's a place to stay or use a hot tub, otherwise it's OK

interesting hotel
Positives: extremely comfortable bed, double spa in each room, nice balcony Negatives: very loud from outside noise, would only change sheets when we specifically asked. no english speaking tv only chinese, toilet isnt closed off. too bad when you do a no 2 smell goes right through room. No lifts We have been travelling for 6 months and this is the hardest hotel I have had to review as the positives are excellent and the negatives are really bad. we combatted the toilet situation by using the one down stairs for no 2. The noise is ok after midnight.

Great hotel for everyone!
Absolutely love this hotel. The rooms are beautiful, which you don't expect upon initial glance of the hotel exterior and ground floor reception. Breakfast is delicious and the specials are remarkably good value for money! Food at any time of the day is good quality and good value. Staff very friendly, relaxed and want to help! Would love to stay here again.

I would stay again
The hotel is lovely.nice rooms with very comfortable beds. The hotel is on a street with vendors and restaurants but no cars. It's relatively quiet. If you get a room at the back then it is really quiet. The staff are adorable. They go out of their way to help. I originally booked for three nights and extended to four. If I had had the flexibility I would have stayed longer.

I'll Be Back !
I can't add much to what has already been said by others. I enjoyed my stay very much and will definitely be back. I particularly loved the hot tub every day. If pushed to say anything less than complimentary, I would say that the hotel food was frankly mediocre. Seems that food is an afterthought at this hotel. But don't let that put you off -- there are dozens of wonderful places to eat nearby. And as a hotel, it is still a great place to stay. A touch of luxury in the centre of Yangshuo. Oh, one other thing. When people say the hotel rooms are "open plan" - you better believe them. There is no privacy when using the toilet or shower. You need to be comfortable in your relationship with you room-mate. I was travelling alone so no problem. Just to clarify two things that confused me and the taxi driver when trying to find the hotel - and I am sure might confuse others. There are actually three hotels run by this little company all with "Bamboo" in the name: 1.Bamboo Resort 2.Bamboo Hotel and 3.Bamboo Inn. Also the Google map shown on Expedia is totally wrong. The Bamboo Resort is nowhere near the location shown on Expedia. (Actually it is in a much better location on the opposite side of Peoples Park - closer to town). Having said that, once I arrived at the hotel, everything else was fine. Go for it !

Best three star you will get in China.
Best hotel we stayed in whilst touring in China for 4 weeks. Fantastic rooms, and a beautiful family running the hotel. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough. You would be foolish to book anywhere else. Spas in the rooms and the rooms were set up like a very well appointed home. Even the shampoo in the shower was a shampoo & treatment. Even the wireless internet worked in the rooms. Also we enjoyed drinks and great meals out the front watching the people go by. Stop looking and book this hotel. You will be so glad you did.

Nicest hotel in Yangsho
The hotel is located in a quiet street near to the centre of town. The room was amazing and the bed the most comfortable I've had in China! The staff spoke English and helped me get my tours organised etc. Its seriously a great place to stay in a fun relaxing town.

Privacy is lacking, food is slow, otherwise "OK"
Other reviews for this hotel seem overly good. Not sure if provided by real travelers or hotel employees. We travel a lot in China - for westerners, this hotel was "cute" but not particularly "awesome". BEWARE, bathrooms in some rooms are NOT private as described - ours was one. Entire bathroom open to rest of room. Other rooms only have a 2 ft wide band of frosted glass in toilet cubicle. Unless you are comfortable doing your business with your spouse/partner/travel mate right there with you, consider another hotel. Also, rooms are very small - no place to put luggage. Had to climb over it during 4 day stay. Our tub was not plumbed right, so it flooded the floor instead of draining. Beds in China can be VERY hard - ours was great, very comfortable. Clean and comfortable bedlinens, etc. Good fast wireless internet. ALL TV CHANNELS were in Chinese, no other options. Fantastic location right off West Street - very convenient. Some rooms might be noisy (facing street) ours was in back - very private and mostly quiet. Food in hotel lobby was tasty, but very slow, Service was kind and friendly. If you are in a hurry to go sightseeing in the mornings, eat somewhere else. Food prices were reasonable. Although a small thing, basically you are given enough TP for one day - not on a roll or anything. 2 out of 3 days had to ask for more TP. Pretty inconvenient. No Elevator - walked up 4 floors each time. Price was "OK". Recognizing warnings above, would recommend this hotel but understand it is NOT a standard western hotel,
