Good location, especially for the Mumbai marathon which was our reason for coming to Mumbai. There is a definite need for an upgrade. AC/light controller didn’t work, it either went to the coldest or the hottest setting. The control chip was hanging by a wire outside the wall socket. A hole in the bathroom wall, big enough for a mouse. Didn’t see one, but ants seem to enjoy this grand entrance to the facilities. They were painting the hall walls outside our room in the evening and night instead of daytime only. Paint smell and constant noise outside our room was not desirable. Will probably pick a different hotel next time, if rooms are available. If not, I can stay here again.

There was some noise from the AC. Otherwise all fine.

Positive parts: #1. Housekeeping services. Room was clean. Negative parts: #1. Smoking rooms located on same floor as non smoking. At times my room was full of cigarette smoke smell. #2. Construction noise. #3. Overwhelming smell of epoxy from construction. #4. FOOD POISONING from room service food. I lost 2 of my 3 days in Mumbai due to the sickness. I was here for work and could not work. When I told reception I got food poisoning from the food a girl suggested I only sick from the weather. I had already been here 6 weeks, adjusted to the climate and heat was not the problem. Again at checkout, as I paid 1800rs for the food that made me vomit, she suggested it was something in the air. 5. Except for housekeeping and luggage men, the employees had a negative vibe.

It's nice property to stay ,. It located in amazing place and it has easy access too.. I loved it

The Ambassador is a outstanding hotel in almost every way except the front desk staff could be a bit more pleasant and make the guests feel more welcome. This is the only hotel i stay at when i travel to Mumbai and think that restaurant staff , food quality ,room service ,housekeeping and general staff go far beyond expectations but front desk made me feel a bit unwelcome especially after staying here on multiple occasions. I will be returning in April and hopefully this very small issue will be a misunderstanding and the room service most certainly made up for this issue. The service provided by Mahendra was exceptional and food and beverages were delivered with a positive and happy smile. Keep up the great work.

Location is excellent and the hotel has kept its charm from years back when I stayed there

Great location, close to many good restaurants, Mumbai cricket club, Churchgate station and an easy walk to Gateway to India. Rooms were clean, but the decor was very dated. The outside of the property looks quite run down.

The ambassador is a shadow of itself. In an area that’s thriving for business and leisure travel - it’s a right priced and sized hotel if you don’t want to stay at one of the luxury brands Nextdoor - but they need to define their space and not compromise on the basics that are non negotiable and locally not expensive - the in house cafe food was poor, cleanliness in bathroom was average - quality of linen was very poor. Proximity to marine drive where one can enjoy outdoors is a major plus and they just need refocus and some $$ upgrades

I reserved one room for my wife friends and reception made many problems for them.while they could mail me and ask about that in the meanwhile I talked to them by mobile , yet they made another problem .after one hour it was solved
