4/10 Fair

We stayed here before, so knew roughly what to expect. However, on arrival in the room, there was a smell of urine (which either dissipated during the stay, are we just got used to it). We registered as two people, but they only left us one bath towel and no hand towels or washcloths. I called the helpline to complain about the towels, and to their credit, they did leave us two more towels the next day, but they also left the room unlocked!!! (The automatically locking door was flaky, and we found we had to be very careful to assure that it was locked before leaving the room.) I used one of the common toilets, and it was a little cloudy before using it, and afterwards, I found it is not flushing properly. There was a plunger there, and I tried three times to get to plunge, to no avail. That took a couple days before they resolved it. Also, somebody had colored their hair and left a mess in one of the common sinks. That took 2 days to be cleaned up. And lastly, they did not have any decaf coffee. All in all, not a pleasant stay. Even though we are cost conscious, and it is the cheapest place to stay in Eugene, we will not be staying there again!!

Skip this if you’re a female
There is a rehab center next door and sketchy folk hanging around. It was never mentioned in any of the prior reviews. There was partying going on in the hotel and she did not get a good night’s sleep. It did not feel safe for my daughter, a UO student. The shared bathrooms were not clean.

Rooms are so tiny. You have no room to put anything including a suitcase. There’s nothing on either side of the bed for sleeping as far as night stands and you can hear everybody walking up and down the hall. Also, one of the toilets was out of order so my wife had to go downstairs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom because the one upstairs Was being occupied parking is ridiculous. You paid for parking but it expired in the middle of the night with no way that I could see to get it renewed without going back to the parking lot. I’m hoping right now that I don’t have a ticket.

The staff supposed to take care of the property were unorganized and incompetent. They have various friends hanging around All hours of the night. They left the stove unattended and three times in a row. The fire alarms went off at 2 or 3 AM. Billowing smoke was coming out of the oven. We went to investigate a couple of times. Once, there was a child of about eight alone in the kitchen. We turned everything off and within an hour it was back on again and unattended. We had to ask several times for basic supplies, such as toilet paper. The property itself was great, the concept and convenience also great. BUT The staff looking after the property should honestly be replaced. It was terrible

For a quick, cheap place to crash it was ok but there were a few issues. There was supposed to be quiet time but at 1130 pm there was someone yelling right outside my window that a cat had gotten out and at 2am the people in the room next to me were laughing and talking very loud. Other issue was when I got to my room to rest there was hair all over one of my pillows so I question if they actually swap pillow cases between visitors. Communication is a bit lax as well but again for cheap it’s kinda what would be expected

When i booked this property it was not clear that it is not a hotel but rather a house converted into rental rooms that are accessible with a code sent to your email. There is no one at the property in case you need something. Also, your rental includes only a room (a tight one so no room for luggage) and then there are shared bathrooms in the hall and a shared kitchen. The bed itself was comfortable enough, however, my room had a very draughty window and the thin blanket wasn't enough to keep me warm. Additionally, the ac was running even though it was in the 40s at night. I was lucky that i had a blanket in my car so that and sweats kept me warm. There were no aditional blankets anywhere. Also, there is no parking on premises- only street parking. Overall, this served its purpose as i was traveling alone, but if i had someone with me there would not have been enough room.
