Enjoyable Mimosa Lodge
Receptipn staff were friendly an the room was as described. We enjoyed the balcony. Dinner was excellent and the night's rest was comfortable and cozy.
Breakfast the following morning was a pleasant surprise. Very well presented and very enjoyable - the perfect way to start the day.

Never again
It was a freezing weekend and we were looking forward to our time away. After a promising friendly check-in it went downhill from there. Thin duvet with summer sheets, “aircon” warned about 5cm in front of it, water in shower was not a good pressure in the one, and on the other it fluctuated between warm and cold, remaining cold to the point where I could not finish washing my hair in the morning - we checked out after one night. Needless to say there was a no I cancellation policy so we had to pay for another night elsewhere. But it was still worth it.

Pool and surrounding area needed attention. Seating area required tidying and the pool did not appear to have been cleaned recently. Breakfast and dinner were very good and the restaurant staff friendly and attentive.

a night away
Super place to stay on the way to Cape Town.
Dinner at Zar425 a bit on the pricey side for SA.

Individual style and great comfort
Welcoming, stylish hotel on a central street in Montagu. We had a spacious, comfortable room in a separate building overlooking beautifully planted, peaceful gardens. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was impressively large, and the breakfast was fabulous. All-in-all, a fantastic hotel with wonderful service.

Great service and restaurant
The hotel is great. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The hotel has an award winning restaurant, which serves excellent breakfast and dinner at reasonable prices. The only downside is that there is no internet connection in the garden suites. If you need internet ask for a room in the main building (which are also very nice). Wifi is free.

Dissapointing
A very Dissapointing hotel easily the
worst out of the 8 we stayed in SA. The owner was unfriendly and we felt most uncomfortable.
The hotel is tatty our room was dark with no window in the bedroom. Anywhere that serves one rasher of streaky bacon and half an egg scrambled for breakfast does not deserve our custom. Avoid this one.

Mimosa Lodge - Montagu
Stayed one night at this fantastic hotel in Montagu. Large designed rooms with a fantastic restaurant. The hotel also has their own wine brands. Can highly recommend this hotel. However, Montagu is a bit off the normal tracks, but as it is actually part of the Robertson wine district it is well worth a visit.

Great hotel, not much to do in the area though!
Fabulous hotel with great food, wine and service. Great place to relax and unwind. The hotel grounds are excellent but unfortunately there isnt too much to do in the surrounding area. As long as you are ok with this then go for it...

Mimosa Lodge in Montague South Africa
Charming accommodations on Route 62 in South Africa. After a beautiful drive through the mountains in this region it was a relief to arrive at the Mimosa Lodge where the staff was expecting us and our rooms upgraded and ready for our weary bodies. Ask for rooms 16 or 17 if you go because they are in the back of the facility where is was is quiet and peaceful. The lodge has several beautiful paths between bungalows and inviting setting areas to relax and enjoy the lush vegetations with many a picnic or bottle of wine. Breakfast was limited but tasty. Mimosa Lodge is centrally located in this small historic town and convenient to several excellent restaurants within walking distance. I would stay again if I am ever back in the area.
