Hotel is such a unique gem. Owner is trying to preserve the historical feel while updating interior. While the updates seem to be taking some time, the accommodations are CLEAN. Staff is so friendly. Location can not be beat.

Extremely accommodating, helping to look for a lost item after we left. They are upgrading the rooms and still needs some work in the bathroom, but otherwise super comfortable and great value. Parking was no problem.

It was right by the beach - perfect to see the sunset 🌞. Lot of restaurants and bars near the hotel.

Great location
The spot was right on the beach and ownership is great. The communication was awesome and my room was ready when I got there. Only negative is I could hear everything in the hallway and wasn’t able to rest well. I recommend putting a towel at the bottom of the door andbringing earplugs.

The hotel is in a wonderful location and appears to have history. However it was a pretty average stay. A bit disappointed that when I arrived just after 3 my room was not ready and that they didn’t have parking passes left. Overall condition needs some work and it wasn’t super clean.

Beach front room.
This was an excellent location however some of the rooms amenities need to be upgraded. The TV had many burned out LEDS, towel racks or hooks in the bathroom would also be helpaul, but it is a very beautiful, clean historic property right on the Strand. I would stay again.

Roulette.
The initial room we were placed in was not to an acceptable standard at all. Terrible beds and bedding and poor HVAC, and the room was not equipped as shown in the pictures. The day we received the room I felt was advertised. I asked for improved bedding and it was provided. No cold water in room except for the shower plumbing. Hotel's great location is offset by the age of hotel. My stay varied from terrible to nice. Seems room assignment can be roulette. Hardest review of a room I've done.

Talk about getting the beach experience. Location is right on the sand. Once you get your parking pass, there is no need to drive anywhere. All restaurants, entertainment and shopping are within walking distance. Room was ultra clean and the bed was comfortable. We’ll be back.
