Cocoon @ the International Inn

We were staying for the weekend, 3 nights in one of the basement’s room. The room needs some care (cleaning, updating). The lack of ventilation is a problem - there’s only one small dusty fan (no window). The pillows were old and tired (lost their shape) and all the amenities need to be looked at. They also charge £1 to leave your bags After check out - not impressed. Overall, not good value for money (£70 per night) - we won’t stay again. The only positive was the lovely staff at reception.

The woman on reception was rude... no understanding at all.. we didn't even stay there in the end..

No hot water in the shower or sink despite leaving both run for at least 10 mins! It was extremely noisy, with revellers in the hall shouting and screaming most of the night. There was no window in the room or bathroom! There were stains and dirty marks in the bed covers. The toilet had not even been flushed! The wooden floor was also dirty! The blue light over the door was also very annoying!

Good room and facilities but no soap provided & air conditioning noise was a drawback.

Just wanted a reasonably priced bed for the night...exactly what we got!

Great value hotel, very clean and all amenities worked which is often rare. The staff were really helpful and friendly the only downside is that there isn’t a signal on the lower ground level but there is WiFi to compensate.

Pleasant staff, but the building had woeful noise cancelling. I could hear music from other rooms and someone in heels walking around in the room/s above me. Pillows were lumpy and over used Shame really as it’s ideally located in the town and a good price

The staff are all so professional and welcoming the customers with a warm and big hi. The place is so clean and some what quite with a good security. What i did not like some water leaking in the shower room it is just need to be checked and controlled which wasn't big issue may be for others were before me.

Great budget hotel in the heart of Liverpool. Has all the amenities needed for a short stay. The lack of windows means that (by law) there has to be a blue night light so the room is never completely dark.
