This was a nice older hotel. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Our room was clean. Our bed did dip in the middle. We enjoyed the town of Haines. If you’re looking for coffee and breakfast, head over to the Rusty Compass Coffeehouse. Good chai! We would stay here again.

This is an older building that maintains it's character. It might have a few dings and chips but it is a lovely piece of history. We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The bathroom, while small, had a really nice warm shower. We had a beautiful view of the harbor. There is no food on site but downtown is within walking distance with a few restaurants and grocery store. Jeff ( the owner) was wonderful and full of good information. I would highly recommend a stay here.

The property is an old building with lots of history. My room was clean and Jeff was very helpfull. Coffee and/or tea were. Available at the front office area. A microwave was also available there. My room had direct access through a back door which was very convenient for taking out my dog and easy access to my car. The adjecent properties share the history of a former military fort.
