Great location in Orvieto. Many restaurants and some shopping. The hotel has a great parking garage for your stay. (For a small fee.) The staff knows very little English and comes across a bit arrogant at times. Not much breakfast selection, but typical of Italy. Nice hotel.

The location of the property is perfect. Parking was available. The property is old, furniture old, breakfast buffet is mediocre and the staff does what they need to do and never smile. This is true thruout Italy.

Hotel room served its purpose! Nothing over the top but a clean place to stay while visiting Orvieto.
We did have a barking dog outside our room that was quite loud in the morning and later in the evening but that was the only issue we ran into. The staff were very polite and helpful during our stay!

Very good location in the centro storico.
Good covered paid (12euro a day) very close to the hotel.
Orvieto is amazing.
Do not take room #24 -- it has no windows, the AC does not cool it down, and it has a lot of noise, the big AC for whole hotel is just adjacent to it.
Other rooms are probably much better.
The staff should not have put us into this room, as other rooms were available, and this room did not look like the photos on Expedia at all.

Beware room 23
We stayed at Hotel Corso for 3 nights. The first night we were put in room 23 which faces the outdoor area. It was full of loud students using it as a social hub - till after 11.00 pm. Someone from the hotel eventually came up and told them to leave, but ruined our sleep. In the morning we asked to be moved, which happened without any problems. We slept well the next two nights. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great and the location was fantastic. Good value to stay nearly the historic centre.

A Slice of Ancient Orvieto
Taking in Orvieto after a 12-day cruise was a sort of detox before returning home. The town turned out to be a total delight, with a surprisingly grand cathedral, wonderful wines and a chance to explore the Etruscan culture. The hotel was charming and convenient for our non-guided walking tours. Staff at Hotel Corso does not really speak English, but they are very willing to help make arrangements. We never found good food in Orvieto, but perhaps the locals are keeping it for themselves. Loved the 2nd floor patio for unhosted Happy Hour!

Great hotel in the old part of the city
Great older hotel. Very nice staff, breakfast and room. It is an older hotel but well maintained. Location is about mid-way between the fumiculare and the duomo so walking from the train with luggage was not a big problem.

Basic hotel in the old city of Orviedo
Very basic hotel, but amazing location in the centre. Staff was friendly, even they don't speak much English. Decent breakfast. Nearby parking costs only 1€/day
