I arrived at 2 a.m. to find that the hotel was completely destroyed by the hurricane. Unbelievable that they booked me for this hotel and took my money. Even better they claim that it's nonrefundable. Had to call my credit card company and have them dispute it. I was homeless for the night I arrived and had to stay in the van at the truck stop.
The front desk was very welcoming, even let me choose what floor I wanted to be on! After I told them I didn’t have a floor preference, they let me know they would put me on the 3rd floor so there would be no noise from an upper floor, above me.The room was very clean and tidy and smelled nice. Housekeeping stopped us on the way to the room to make sure we had everything we needed and to Let him know if we needed anything else. The shower pressure and temperature were amazing! I didn’t want to get out. I have nothing but incredible things to say about my stay. Would definitely want to stay here again!

Arrived and no carts. Never saw one available anywhere. We were on our way home from a week at the beach and didn’t want to leave all our stuff in the car. A cart would have been nice. Even though they advertise free breakfast they were not serving it. We get to our room and a cigar is in the toilet. Start looking around and bed isn’t made properly. An ice bucket full of ice is in the fridge and a bottle of liquor. It’s Covid time and these rooms are supposed to be sanitized and cleaned. It wasn’t. Phone was not put together and so finally got the front desk. They switched us to another room but again no cart. Drag everything to another room quite far away. It was cleaner but no soap was left and luckily we had some. No liners for ice bucket. Sheers for curtain was hanging down. Husband went to get breakfast out and bring back and we start to pack up. Still no carts. I honestly don’t think they have any. The front desk clerk said we would get a partial comp on the room the night before. We check out and I asked the morning clerk but she knew nothing about it. I filled her in and she said since we paid with Expedia we would get no comp. the night clerk was nicer and the morning clerk was not nice at all. I recommend not staying here.
No breakfast. Rooms were very clean and nice. Definitely would stay again.
Would not stay again. Checked in and the front desk clerk was being confronted by another guess for having a room with bloody sheets on the bed. No soap or extra towels available hair was all over my bed. I would never stay here again or refer this establishment to anyone
My wife and I arrived to the hotel late in the evening. The front desk staff was friendly. The informed us there would be "no morning breakfast" due to COVID-19. That was okay with us because we were a bit apprehensive about eating food that could be touched by several hands other than the food preparers. We went to our room and there was no soap, shower gel or sanitizer. We went to the front desk as we were about to go out for the evening and informed the staff of the absence of soap, body wash or sanitizer. The staff informed us they were out of all such products, but would ask housekeeping if they could fine any. We had to supply our own soap, body wash and fortunately had our own sanitizer. The next morning as we were checking out, we again informed the staff that there were no soap, body wash or sanitizer in our room. The staff informed us they were aware of there being no cleansing products but there was nothing they could do. In this time of a pandemic and people getting sick and dying, we would think hotels would take every precaution to make sure their guests are safe and comfortable. Also, with so many businesses suffering financially, you would also think a hotel would do what;'s necessary to make sure their customer return. This was certainly not the case. Not only will we NOT be returning to the LaQuinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lake Charles. This situation caused my wife and I some degree of anxiety and discomfort.
