Holiday Inn Express & Suites Albany Airport Area - Latham

This is a beautiful hotel. Clean,smell good, friendly staff. Close to everything If I come back to Latham. Definitely i staying in the hotel

I like my stay at the holiday inn express every time I’ve stayed because you feel at home and private the use of the swimming pool Is accessible and no one is giving you a hassle thank you🙏😇❤️Ps my son Eric worked in this hotel and learned a lot.

Night front desk had bad attitude. No clean towels. Broken hair dryer.

The room was a little dim. Check in was fine Room clean.

It was loud. A Family had a Pool Party all day with 25 kids. It was noisy all night even after midnight. I would prefer a refund.

The Holiday Inn chain had a good reputation in my mind before staying here. We stayed in a suite with a jetted tub. I’ve stayed in a dozen “suites” and this was the poorest one yet. The jetted tub was nice however the drain stopper didn’t work and wouldn’t seal. The shower is small and the shower head doesn’t adjust or move at all. So being only 5’5”, the water shoots right in my face and you can’t back up because the shower is so small. The room itself had basically what I’d refer to as “yard sale furniture” decorating it. Their breakfast, which bc of covid, has been reduced to prepackaged gross pastry, yogurt, and Cheerios cereal. Also they had cranberry juice in small cups you’d find in an elementary school cafeteria. They didn’t have plastic silverware, bowls and cups so I asked at the desk about if they were going to restock it before it closed. The response was, “we didn’t get our food shipment”. Also you have to ask for coffee at the front desk only between the hours of 6-9:30am when other hotels have it available 24 hours. I went to retrieve a spoon from my room to eat my cereal, leaving my coffee and Cheerios on the table to come right back. I returned to find the small dorm refrigerator pad locked. As well as my coffee and cereal had been thrown away. So at 9:30 on the dot, the staff cleared the breakfast area. Myself and another guest were down there. He was literally eating dry cereal out of his hand. Very Disappointing experience!

Hotel pool hours were already shortened due to COVID from 11pm to 9pm. At 8:54pm an employee came in and told everyone they had to leave immediately. It was hard to hear with all the echoing and kids playing so I let my son continue to swim. Then this employee went around individually to each child and one adult telling them to get out. My son came over to me and let me know what was said, I checked the time, noticed we still had a couple more minutes left, so I was confused. It was at that time this employee came over and started yelling at me that the pool was closed and we needed to get out. I asked if there was something wrong like a kid had an accident or something, since we still had a few minutes left, and that's when he got right in my face and started screaming at me that we needed to leave. We left and immediately went to the front desk asking if there was something wrong with the pool water and why we were told to get out. The front desk girl had no idea what was going on stating the water was fine and the pool was still open. My 10 year old son was visibly shaken and did not want to stay the night now because he did not feel safe. The girl at the front did apologize several times after I explained to her what just happened and said she would have the manager call me the next day to get a refund since we checked out. I'm still waiting on that call. PS- the room was filthy, stains all over the carpet and couch.

Stayed one night excelent will book again if I’m in the area again.
