The place is nice looking, New England style, friendly, with a lovely pool area and great restaurant buffet. The 'cottages' are apartments, 4 to a house. We had a 6 berth for 4 people, which gave us 2 small bedrooms - 2 x bunks and a double -a living space with kicthenette, day bed which could become 2 singles, and a dining table; a separate toilet and bathroom. Very small but efficiently laid out. Outside was a veranda with table and chairs, lovely for drinks after our long drive.
The houses are laid out in a semi circle around the pool, spa and restaurant.
It was perfect for a selcatering overnight stay, which lots of people appeared to be doing, but also seemed ideal for families on holiday.
My only real complaint was with housekeeping. the place looked clean enough at first sight, but there were hairs on the worksurface of the kitchen, suggesting a cursory wipe, the bathroom was similar. There was grout missing from floor tiles, we could have lifted tiles up, the bathroom floor was raised and when our children had tripped twice we looked and realised it hadn't been finished properly, so you could see under the floor into the cavity beyond. While the double bed had been made up, we were left with 2 sets of bunk beds to make up ourselves, with flat sheets, not easy or ideal after a 7 hour drive.
Apart from those niggles, which I could almost overlook because we only stayed one night (I'd have kicked up a fuss if we were there longer) we enjoyed the place and relaxed.
