This hotel was exactly what we needed: great location, clean and comfortable with a very friendly staff. The location was the main selling point. It's a five-minute drive to the train station and a seven-minute walk to York Minster. Kudos to the staff for being so friendly and helpful.

The bedroom and bathroom were lovely and clean. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and smiling. The breakfast was very well presented, tasty food and good options. Parking is included but book direct otherwise you have to pay £10, not that that’s a lot. The hotel is in an ideal position for exploring, all round a very stay.

We have stayed at this hotel a lot of times in the last sixteen years always well looked after the staff very friendly & polite Stuart is very good at his job . The rooms are nice & clean a little bit dated but ok the car park is very secure with a automatic gate but the car park can get a bit short on space if busy. Raymond Woodcock 5th September.

Our room was very pleasant (third floor, with views over the surroundings). All the staff we met were personable without being pushy - very nice. The hotel is well-placed for getting to the city centre. It was also nice that we didn't have to decide if we wanted breakfast until the morning. We'll stay here again.
