The Palms was an average hotel, the food was good, service was good and the front desk staff were friendly. The beach was not so great, rocky and small. There are a lot better beaches around the island. It would not be my first pick if visiting again.

My room was not cleaned prior to entering the room; there was no toilet paper in the room. Bedding and floor were dirty. All day Saturday there was no clear running water. THE ENTIRE DAY THE WATER RAN ORANGE IN THE BATHROOM AND TOILET. I HAVE PICTURES. THEY BLAMED "WAPA" . No concession was so ever!! I had to attend a function. Had to use bottle water. They should refund me for a day!!!

Liked that it was ocean front, but service, especially at the restaurant was terrible, always running out of what was on the menu, but still trying to charge you for it and crazy stuff like giving out maple syrup as balsamic vinaigrette for salad dressing, when that happened twice it wasn't funny just pathetic!

We loved it here! Nice room, great bed, modern bath, and beautiful views. We ate a lovely breakfast in the restaurant every day and enjoyed several lunches and dinners during our stay. The staff was efficient, friendly, and helpful.

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere for a tiny island. You will need to take a taxi to get anywhere. It’s a tropical location so I wasn’t too put off by the bugs in the room, but know that you’ll see critters. Food was so-so. Drinks were great and cheap by US standards. The island experienced a main water pipe that burst so our last two days, we had no water and limited food. No one told us to book our taxi service to the airport a day in advance. All of the sudden, the taxi couldn’t pick us up, even though we’d used the service all week with no problem. The front desk staff member could care less that we were about to miss our flight and offered no solutions. Our bartender who had just gotten off shift ended up driving us. What a blessing she was! Not my worst travel experience - not my best. Wanda and Ruth were the best! I hope you get the chance to meet them if you stay here.
