Feedback Regarding My Experience with Expedia and Hotel Check-In Issue
I recently faced a frustrating experience with Expedia during a hotel booking. Upon arrival, I was denied check-in because the hotel required a marriage certificate, which was not mentioned during the booking process. Despite having a valid booking, I was left stranded. Expedia must ensure critical requirements like these are clearly communicated during the booking process.
I tried resolving the issue by finding alternative accommodation through the Expedia app, but it offered no flexibility to make real-time changes or cancellations. This lack of options added to my frustration, as there was no way to address the problem quickly.
To make matters worse, I tried contacting Expedia’s customer support multiple times via chat, phone, and the app. However, I couldn’t reach any live agent. The chat was unhelpful and automated, calls had long wait times, and the app failed to provide access to meaningful support.
This ordeal caused significant stress, financial burden, and ruined my travel experience. I urge Expedia to clearly communicate hotel policies, enable real-time booking flexibility, improve customer support accessibility, and offer compensation for such situations. I hope these changes are made to improve the customer experience and restore trust in the platform.
