I was pleasantly surprised to find a historic water mill that used to be fed by natural spring water. Although the mill appears to be no longer operational, the spring water still runs the length of the restaurant in a shallow open channel that diners can experience. At one end of the channel, it split into two channels that bordered a dining table with four chairs. This had the effect of creating a special VIP "dining island" of sorts where the diners at that table were surrounded by a small shallow moat of water! The water discharged into the river below the restaurant. On the opposite side of the river, across from the restaurant, there is a small waterfall. Overall, the sound of the various water sources made the dining area very pleasant. There was also a closed-off dining area for cold days.
