Rikli Balance Hotel (ex Hotel Golf) - Sava Hotels & Resorts

We spent 2 nights on our anniversary at Lake Bled. The hotel was immaculate and all staff adhere to the mask wearing and all COVID requirements. We had a double room with lake view and we were blown away with the view, breathtaking! The room is eco friendly with lots of wood, pillow options but because of COVID no tea/ coffee making but we got it on request, the mini fridge is empty but on to fill yourself and bath robe and slippers on request. The restaurant is also buffet only but again gloves provide and masks when choosing food. Breakfast had a great choice of hot and cold foods. I must mention Thomas the manager, he is an absolute star, very professional and customer service skills are amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Lake Bled

The overall stay was good and we actually liked the hotel a lot - except for a disturbing breakfast experience the morning when we were about to leave. We were told the breakfast is free-seating so we picked a quiet table next to the window, noticing that a “reservation” table sign was placed upside down, we assumed that the table is reserved for dinner as it happened at some other hotels where we stayed in Bled. We enjoyed the food and the view very much until a rather rude Caucasian old man came to us, turned the “reservation” sign to us, told us that they have reserved the table for breakfast, put down two eggs in front of us, and demanded that we leave the table for him and another lady. Knowing nothing and being put in a rather embarrassing situation where the house is full with other tourists, we left the table with a feeling that we were treated disrespectfully so we went to the restaurant reception, of which we were offered no help. Upon explaining the situation to him, except for keep repeating to us that a table can’t be reserved for breakfast so this can’t happen, he has no intention to help us explain this to the rude old man, nor helping us to find another table. In the end we had to tell the old man ourselves that the hotel said he can’t reserve a table, where he pretended he couldn’t understand English and ignored us when in fact he has asked us to leave in English. Worst breakfast experience so far in Europe and very disappointing assistance from hotel staff.

Amazing resort and spa/wellness facilities 5*. Breakfast needs more vegetarian options. Lunch and Dinner is very hard for vegetarians also. Hotel is very nice and clean. Staff are generally nice, however the concept of room service rolls out the door very quickly.

Everything was really lovely, my room was very clean- which is always my main concern at hotels. The pool area was fantastic, and so was the breakfast. We had a room with a lake view and it was stunning...... I have no complaints, it was terrific.

Overall the stay was good, the view from the room is beautiful except the temperature in the room was too hot, air condition was turned off :(

We had an amazing stay, the hotel and staff are great, specially Miha from reception.

The hotel is very modern and really nice to stay in. However, the staff are comically rude. Breakfast stops at 10am, one of the mornings we arrived at 9:55am and got our food and sat beside the window looking out over the amazing view of the lake. Just after 10am while we were still eating they cleared away the buffet breakfast which is standard for hotels but they pulled down all the blinds to block the view. A very unsubtle passive aggressive way to get us to get out of the restaurant as it was now just past 10am. So we ate the rest of our breakfast in the semi dark room with an amazing view the other side while several waiters tutted. We scuttled on out of there at 10:10.

Great hotel. Great staff. Great location. Great breakfast and great swimming pool.
