Best Western Plus Sandusky Hotel & Suites

Had an excellent stay at the Best Western like always. The shower was to die for excellent water pressure and the water gets nice and hot.

It was a great hotel but at the bathroom we found some hairs. I don’t mind at all, but it was not satisfactory

I was very pleased with this hotel. I booked a king size bed and expected a regular room. They gave me a suite! How nice. Comfy bed and pillows provided a great night's sleep. I am hard of hearing and with these darn masks can't read peoples lips (I also where hearing aids, but need to read lips too) and the person at the desk really went out of their way to make sure I understood everything that I needed to know. Breakfast was "in the bag" due to COVID and was just okay, but I'm not knocking anything off their rating for that. I stay in a hotel 2-3 times a week and nobody has had a great bagged breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel itself was clean including the room but the service was bad at the front desk. Don’t want to mention names but they looked like they really didn’t want to be there. The breakfast was a joke too. I was given a small brown bag and was directed to the coffee. It’s free breakfast, I get it but still, I’m sure it’s included in the cost especially with the price per room. Service and breakfast needs improvement!

It was okay nothing spectacular.

It was likely a unique instance, but my husband came home with bug bites after staying in the hotel. Also, the room we stayed in smelled like smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room.

Room nasty pool nasty had to change room twice will never stay here again

There was mold in the corners of the shower, bed was old and uncomfortable, The room smelt musty. There were hairs in the bed sheets before I even pulled back the blankets. I woke up to some drunk man banging on my door in only his boxers in the morning and then an hour later a random woman two rooms down screaming at the top of her lungs for someone to call 911. Pool is super small, barely the size of a large hot tub. No way to actually swim in it. 3ft 9 inches deep at its deepest point. With five adults in it it felt cramped and it’s in the basement with heaters on the floor from where it seemed to have flooded recently. Location was great, close to a lot of shopping and cedar point.

we found bed bugs the night of and the next morning of our stay. the alarm clock on the night table looked like it hadn’t been dusted in weeks and we found an old wrapper to gummi bears in between the night table and the wall. we reported the bed bugs to the desk clerk who assured us that her supervisor would follow up with us that day but that hasn’t happened yet. i called corporate and told them about the bed bugs and the lack of a response from management at the hotel and she also assured me that someone from the hotel would contact me. that has not happened yet either. very disappointed in the lack of response from the management at the hotel and the uncleanliness of the room in general.

I didn’t like that housekeeping doesn’t make your bed when you’re gone. Also, didn’t like that they had a Republican club at the hotel. To each it’s own Republican/Democrat views, I just that that that was very unprofessional to customers. There was a sign on one of the doors that read Trumps Neighborhood Headquarters. It was very uncomfortable for myself and my family. I wouldn’t stay there again.
