ARCOTEL Castellani Salzburg

The rooms in this hotel were surprisingly generic given its historical exterior. But certainly clean and functional. Could benefit from a hot water kettle in room for tea/coffee. The breakfast is very good but be aware it can get noisy because the hotel caters to your groups. The fitness center is poor - I couldn’t figure out why the elliptical machines had no power on. Needs to be improved if hotel advertises it as a feature. The hotel is not very close to the historical city center - it’s a 20 min walk. While it’s not an issue in good weather, it means you’re taking the bus in the winter. We were here during the holidays and it was rainy and very cold. The plus is there is a small restaurant in the hotel if you want to stay in for dinner and don’t feel like dealing with going out in bad weather.

Hotel and grounds (including a little chapel) were beautiful, immaculately clean and staff were helpful and friendly.

This was my second visit to the hotel. I liked the friendliness of the staff and the warmth that they projected. Also the layout of the property with the lawn area and the little chapel is very appealing.

Welcoming staff. Fast lifts. Immediate hot water. Spacious rooms. Wide choice of food for breakfast. Beds are rather firm for my taste. Our room carpet was rather grubby. On an excellent bus route a few minutes from the city centre.

The hotel is quite beautiful and the rooms were excellent. The only drawback is that it is a moderate walk to the "old town". Not a big deal though, the bus passes right out front if you don't want to walk. Overall, very happy with decision to stay here.

Great staff. Great breakfast spread. Quiet 18th century proprty with modern touch. Parking onsite, which is rare in Salzburg. Beautiful place for a stay.

Excellent sized room with good safe box and TV with english channels. Fridge didn’t work, shower very small and sliding door broken. Bus ride into city very frequent. Too far to walk. Restaurant and bar expensive and who to do with more choice. Hotel staff are very helpful
