Newly renovated rooms in the best hotel for the price in LJ. Easy in and out access. Rooms are not fancy but not basic. Yes to makeup mirror, steamer machine, decks!!! Very welcoming staff. Love this place. Very very safe at all hours as well. 1/3 the price of the La V, yet a two min walk to their whaling bar. Free coffee in lobby in the morning or a better buzz right across the street. Same price as empress but they have no patios. Love love love this secret spot.

My stay was absolutely perfect despite the hotel being in the midst of construction. We stayed at this hotel since we were running the La Jolla half marathon. It is walking distance to Scripps Park which is perfect. It is nice, clean hotel with a great ocean view. It comes at a great price point for the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again granted the price doesn't go up exorbitantly after construction is done.
