We had an excellent stay. The pool was amazing and staff were great. Only let down was the room service, quite expensive as expected but the chips were not good.
Very impressive, excellent staff and very easy check in and out. The room was very comfortable and tidy. Breakfast was better than average. Would certainly stay there again.
Really protective regarding Covid 19 with masks worn throughout the hotel. Sadly the world we currently live in. It does make you feel a bit on edge rather than homely. Breakfast, evening meal, gym and pool by appointment only. Gym and pool you can't book from reception which is a bit of a pain.
Very good. Very comfortable mattress. Good shower. Easy parking. Free in room safe. Quiet location. The fridge wasn’t all that cold but that’s probably because it’s concealed in a cupboard and that’s being really picky. Reception staff very professional and welcoming . If you aren’t travelling by car you will need to use taxis to get around but they are fairly easy to get hold of.
All round excellent stay. Lovely big rooms in top condition. Definitely worth the stay
Everything was very good about our stay except the heat in our room. Even with the window open it was too warm. (The outside temperature was fairly cool).
Our room was so hot had to lie under a wet towel to keep cool but hardly slept a wink. We had to accept a downgrade in order to change rooms, no apology or offer of compensation. Expected much better from Hilton.
Lovely overnight stay, was safe with all the covid-19 regulations. Got a double family bedroom very spacious and all the amenities you needed in the room including a mini fridge.
The reception staff were very welcoming on arrival and were very accommodating as we were a little early to arrive. The young man on the bar when we arrived was also excellent- his tone, manner and professionalism were commendable. It was later the issues arose. In our room there were skittles on the floor (from a previous guest) making us question the cleanliness of the room clean. We ordered two bowls of chips for the children as our meal reservation was 8.15pm. The chips took over an hour to arrive and we needed to ask for them a further twice after original ordering. Breakfast-this is was a disaster!!! The staff were running about rushed off their feet. The breakfast took over an hour to come after ordering. My sons had only ordered toast- they were starving by the time it finally arrived. Customers were touching condiments at the staff station & using a shared coffee machine- this worried us due to coronavirus and social/ physical distancing guidance. From a guest point of view, I totally understand that things have had to change rapidly in an ever changing pandemic situation BUT this was unacceptable. It appeared there were too many guests and simply not enough staff to cater for them! Have less guests and do it well rather than accepting more bookings and failing to meet peoples expectations. We have been coming to this hotel for 11 years...this visit confirmed, we will not be back!
