The Mansion at Glen Cove

Needs to be updated and cleaned. Staff seems confused about pretty much everything you ask them. Oddly stingy with towels. The hallways smell like farts and death. The woman who runs the spa was nice one day and completely nasty the next for no reason. There were weddings both days I stayed and not one single person attending either wore a mask. However, the staff and all other guests did. Seems like the rules and consideration should apply to everyone and should be enforced by hotel management. There are literally swarms of bees at the outdoor pool and bar area and the pool was dirty. We were randomly told the pool was closed by a very confused lifeguard and everyone swimming had to get out, then minutes later it reopened without any explanation. This place is a mess and I’d never go back. But I assumed it would be seeing as every other single place was booked during the time I was looking to book. 💩

I’m a long time fan of The Mansion for quick NYC getaways but must say the recent improvements are noticeable and great. The new chef is excellent and menu is fantastic with a long needed revamp. The tuna appetiser to die for. The renovated rooms are slightly more hip and still very comfortable. The pool cabanas are a nice feature as well and make better use of the space. The “cabana cost applied to food beverage” is a steal for what you get.! Only gripe: when events/weddings occur some services shut down such as brunch. Overall 4.7 stars! Will definitely be back often.

the place is nice. management is poor: they did not clean my bed and I was given the Covid as the reason. Next time I should require it when I check in. Breakfirst's selection was very limited: no table set up .For $200 a night it was overcharged

Really not a luxury stay at all . The walk from the parking area to your room is ridiculous , the air circulation in hallways is non existent. Wouldn’t stay here again

The property itself is great, however, it is in a really poor form. The rooms are not the cleanest, furniture is beyond wear and tear, cement in the floor falling apart - you can see it through the carpet. The staff has given up on the customer service, as well as the owner gave up on renovating the hotel. I guess the owners are milking it until it falls apart completely.

We like to stay at the Glen Cove Mansion Hotel when we are in town. The rooms are nice and there are plenty of family activities to do there.

Pool was closed our first night Monday 3/9/20 and also the bar, then 3/10/20 went to use hot tub and it smelled and was low on water and only 94°. Also no place to get a bottled water or food, bar closed early because no one was there so had to leave the property to get food and water, front desk would not give me a bottle of water

The picture of the front facade is deceiving - there is an ugly run down set of buildings behind it that you actually stay in. The curtains in the room were filthy and the front desk worker was crabby.

Outlets in room didn’t work, especially in the bathroom. Dark hairs found in bath tubs when went to use it the first time. No waters left for occupants upon arriving. The room needed renovation. The room was extremely far from the party that we were attending, even when we informed the desk that we were attending a large and expensive Bat Mitzvah that evening. The next morning we went to play ping pong with our son only to find the paddles broken. Had high expectations and left so disappointed.

Pool, hot tub. Billiard table, spacious rooms. It’s kind of old, so the Heating and air conditioning system is manual, with no thermostats.
