Super 8 by Wyndham Mokena/Frankfort /I-80

The front desk staff was friendly. Rooms are spartan but seemed clean. No HD TV. No microwave in room. Sound insulation in room wasn’t great so it was a little loud in room at times. Decent value. Better rooms available for $10 less in other suburbs for example in NW burbs.

It is definitely a "get what you pay for" hotel. I was clean and the staff was friendly but is is a no frills hotel. This was fine for what I was looking for and would stay again under the circumstances.

I liked NOTHING. This was a Travelocity booking. READ THE FINE PRINT. There is a NONREFUNDABLE pet fee. Wyndham now owns Super8 and La Quinta. Prior to this, I have never had to have my card swiped to assess an $80 “holding” fee for potential damages at either chain. Neither have I ever had to pay a pet fee at either chain. I can only presume that this is a Wyndham shenanigan. At this property, I insisted that the employee on duty accompany me to the room to do an inspection. I am not about to pay for another visitor’s damages. Two nights earlier, a La Quinta employee refused to do an inspection with me. I took pictures there of the room damages already in place. There was no extra toilet paper in the room and absolutely no facial tissues. There was only enough linen for one person and one styrofoam cup for coffee. The reservation was made for two people. The receptionist was padding around in a pair of worn out mule- type bathroom slippers and told me if I didn’t like the motel policies I could cancel the reservation. She also informed me she had the right to refuse service when I told her I did not intend to pay for damages caused by a previous customer. This is a dodgy operation and I will never deal with Wyndham again. The hospitality industry is hurtin’ for certain but you can’t tell it by the way they are gouging the few customers they have. I will remember this after the pandemic is over.

The room was prepaid but they charged my credit card a second time for potential damage. I stay in hotels all the time for my business and while some ask to see my card, it is never second charged. I will not be staying here again!

It was clean and the price was right😊 the shower was pretty good too.

Room had a musty mildew smell.126. Carpet was wet and bed sheets and blanket was damp. Poorly cleaned. Customer service was below average. When issues regarding room was brought to front desk attention, he shugged his shoulders and said it was nothing he could. Didnt offer a replacement room. Checked in late around 830pm and checked out 45 minutes later. Was told that because i booked through hotel.com they couldnt offer any type of refund. Very disappointing!

Quiet location, room clean, centrally located, entrance dated and scary.

Hotel is very outdated. Room was clean, but chair had burns all on it and bed spreads had big burn marks all over them. Great place for an over night stop but really needs to be updated and have things replaced that are worn.

Bring your own pillows. The least comfortable pillows ever. Also odd entrance, very small and cramped. The hotel room seemed clean and in good condition. Of course during these times very limited breakfast. ice lady working desk.
