I was extremely happy. The place is great. Clean, safe, quite and friendly staff
Horrible. Rooms stink terribly, found bugs, alive in the bed! they moved us to 3 different rooms!
Charged me an extra $10 to change rooms Because I did not want to stay in a smoking room and smell cigarette smoke it was upstairs I mentioned that I had a disability and that I couldn’t walk upstairs easily she said there was nothing they could do about it because I used a third-party check in which was Expedia the beds were uncomfortable and not queen-size when I mention it At check out I was told well you can’t get everybody the perfect sleep number. Will not stay there again and do not recommend
Selected a non-smoking room via the Expedia app, but they put me in a smoking room. I went back to the desk & was told that was the default; they could move me but they would charge me a $10 upgrade fee. I figured I'd put up with it for one night and just open the window...Surprise! Window was screwed shut, would not open even a fraction of an inch. By "hot breakfast" they apparently mean a coffee machine. Nothing was there at 8:00am, pretty much in the center of the 6-10 window, and it was obvious that had been the case all morning. No food, no attendants, nothing but a coffee machine. I checked out and went to a Waffle House. That afternoon I got an email from Expedia saying that my credit card info needed to be updated or my reservation there for that day would be cancelled. Note that I had physically checked out that morning and I was two states away when I got the text, and had a receipt in hand. Sounds like someone was trying to use my card info surreptitiously to pad a bill or something. I will remember that place always, and not in a good way.
No ice or breakfast. First room smelled bad.
There were burns in the carpet and holes in sheets but it was clean.
I went to look up the address for this hotel and noticed they had sent me an email saying that my card had been declined and unless I called with a new one, they were canceling my reservation. I was to have called by 11 am and it was now 9:30 pm, so I found a different hotel. However, when I went to make sure the reservation had been canceled, it had not. So either Super * has an employee who is trying to scam credit card numbers from hotels.com customers or Super 8 has a manager who is trying to scam hotels.com customers into believing there was a cancellation and then pocketing the money anyway so he can "sell' rooms without doing any work. Either way, it is shady, illegal, poor customer service and the reason why I will NEVER frequent Super 8's or hotels.com again unless someone refunds my money. I plan on reporting this to my card company as fraud and reporting it to the Better Business Bureau as well as telling EVERYONE on social media. The fact that this was so blatantly inappropriate actions on the part of Super 8 and yet the lower level employees of both Super 8 and hotels.com were powerless to do anything to address it also speaks volumes of a corporate culture that needs to change to empower employees to provide excellent customer.service.
This hotel was in the top tier of this class of lodgings. Very clean, amenities as advertised.
The woman at the front desk was so very nice and accommodating.
The location was good for our trip. The checkin was good. The young lady was personable and helpful. There were not no towels in the room, but she took care of the problem. The wife noted that were "dingy" and stained. The 1st morning for breakfast, we had to ask the front desk for help. We had 2 rooms and had problems with the card keys. one key worked and the other was re-programeed seceral times before the There were pancakes and cold cereal. The gentleman brought a few danishes and nothing else which consistent throuhgout our stay. The beds were comfortable. The pool was to open the next day, but had to ask if it was open, but access chains were still up. I assume the hotel had not had much business, due to Covid, but I visit the area 2 to 3 times a year. I will likely look at other site sin the are for our family stays in the area.
