Super 8 by Wyndham Mauston

Clean and well maintained. Followed all the required guidelines so covid. Kids like staying there.

I would have liked a different bathroom layout. The sink was as soon as you entered the room.

Wasn’t cleaned real well mainly the bathroom. The ac fan made noises all the time. Last time we stayed it was just fine. This time not so much.

Clean hotel near the freeway & close to several restaurants.Front desk staff was awesome!! They gave us a room near the stairs so it was a little loud but overall great stay

Liked the King/Queen beds Liked the refrigerator. One of the better ones have used. Shower was good. Child thought something smelled "odd" in the entry and hallways. Didn't like the bag breakfast; know you can't help that.

The staff was nice and accommodating. The hotel room was in rough shape and severely outdated and run down. We were there for baseball tournament in Mauston and had to share room. Bathroom door would not shut and was damaged. The air conditioning unit worked sporadically, the carpet in room was not vacuumed, the blankets in beds are old and thin (bring your own), one of the beds did not have a covering on the box spring, and one of the mattresses had old blood stains (significant amount). Obviously was bleached and cleaned, but that mattress should have been thrown away!!! Also they had couches in the hallways all over in 2nd floor. When I asked they said they were remodeling the rooms and getting rid of them. Why were they still there? Very strange. People want to feel comfortable staying overnight in a place when away from home. I did not feel comfortable being there but did not have other options as everything was booked. For the price of the room, should have been on way better shape than it was and no excuse to keep such a disgusting mattress! Get rid of that king mattress in room 218. That is just not good customer service at all!

I came to visit my sister and this place was not bad. It is located close to a gas station and Wendy's so that is nice. The wi-fi works well thankfully, because if you have T-mobile, forget about reception until you drive away from Mauston. The only negatives would be that my trash wasn't emptied at all during my stay and my room had ant problems. Otherwise, for the price point, you get what you pay for.
