A great hotel for a getaway weekend
Never having been to Walla Walla we wanted to stay at a traditional hotel for our anniversary and were delighted by the MW. It is in the perfect location for walking the tasting rooms and enjoying the ambience of downtown.. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Marc with impeccable service and the front desk team couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.We didn't take advantage of the Covid-limited breakfast as there were many great alternatives just around the corner. The bed was comfortable but the pillows too small and a little lumpy, although there was a choice of firmness. The grand lobby would be a great place to kick back, enjoy a glass of wine and listen to the piano player ... when the world gets back to normal.

Stayed at the MW Hotel two years ago while attending the Pendleton Roundup and it was an oasis of under stated elegance and comfort. We returned and stayed again at the MW two nights ago and at both check-ins Jonathan at the front desk was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are nicely sized, contain every little amenity one could think of, and in top condition with no signs of age or deferred maintenance. The Dinning facilities and menu where great. We love the place and wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area. A hidden gem out in wheat/wine country and great for a weekend get away - 5 out of 5 stars.

Marcus Whitman is a beautiful hotel but if you really want the experience stay in the tower. We were a little disappointed in the sparseness of our west wing room. Hotel itself/lobby, etc is beautiful and perfectly situated in the downtown area with the wine tasting rooms.
