Hampton Inn Groton/Mystic/New London

Nice and clean, would stay here again. Only minus was in our room they put their sensitive smoke detector right by the bathroom so when we took a hot shower the smoke alarm went off.

The room was very clean and sanitary! Woman at the front desk during checkout was very sweet and knowledgeable on what to do and where to go for food and drinks! would definitely go back:)

Checked in early on Sunday. Person at front desk was more interested in the football game than checking me in. The same person checked me out in the morning and almost seemed annoyed. Could not provide a stay receipt either and his explanation why was incoherent and inaccurate to how credit billing works in the real world. Hospitality is lacking in the morning and early afternoon. Other than that the stay was simply fine.

The stay at this hotel located in Groton Connecticut was satisfactory however the room was obviously not thoroughly cleaned. For instance moving a seat slightly to the right uncovered what looked to be confetti candy wrappers and a piece of dried macaroni. The walls had a few places where tape was put up to hang streamers. Although a small gripe, the coffee machine in the room was missing a part And sadly when I asked for a replacement I was told that the front desk has 24 hour coffee. I want to be able to make coffee in my room not walk to the front desk.

Our non-smoking room smelled strongly of cigarette smoking. Doors and walls were dirty. Although we stayed one night, were felt tense sleeping in the room because we didn't feel confident it was cleaned.

Excellent customer service. There were two draw backs- the pool needed more frequent maintenance such as netting debris from the water. The complimentary breakfast should have options for all: gluten free and vegan considering many have varying dietary needs. Fresh fruit would have been perfect. Overall, the stay was wonderful and I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hallway was dirty, the pool was very dirty and the ceiling in the pool was damaged. Breakfast is very poor and people have to go somewhere for breakfast.

Super clean comfortable room. Only problem was air conditioner was so loud every time it kicked on which was quite disruptive to sleep.

Had a problem with room service, there wasn’t any and the bathroom door is one of those sliding doors that doesn’t shut all the way it stays open about 2 inches so everyone can see you do your business. Also one member of the staff got really nasty and I had to call the Police Department. The hotel manager was really nice about it and gave me one night free off of my stay very very apologetic, so they did take care of the problem very happy about that.

Room was clean. Hotel told us they would have a proper crib for my son to sleep in but didn’t. And one staff member wasn’t very helpful or pleasant to deal with
