This hotel was much better than expected. The room looked nicer in person than in the pictures online and the bed was very comfortable. The ocean view was lovely. The grounds were beautiful with direct access to a terrific walking and biking path. This was a very nice place for a one night stay as we navigated around the island.

Going back to Hotel Coral Reef
We had the best time and will stay there again. Our room was very clean. We enjoyed the banana bread that yhe managers mother made every day. I emjoyed the sunrise every morning from our lanai. Nice to have a safe in the room, too. Loved the walking trail along the beachfront

Although we stayed only one night, we had a great experience! The staff was very welcoming and went over and above to make sure we were taken care of. They even had bicycles to use for the afternoon! The view was amazing and we were close to shopping and dining.

Lovely location and the room we purchased for our one night stay was just as described at booking. Very comfortable bed, great addition of two sinks in the bathroom and plenty of coffee in the morning. Having a fridge in the room that really cools was helpful.

An Excellent Property for What Works Best
I loved this property for many reasons. We had a top floor view, although all rooms faced the ocean. We l9ved the free cruizer bikes and that it is next to an 8 mile (mostly flat) bike/ walking path. It has priximity to grocery and restaurants, and the employees are happy, helpful and proactive to go the extra mile to make your query answered.

Great location but some quirks
Unbeatable location on the ocean with little beach and nice grounds. Good price for location. However, our room wasn’t cleaned when we arrived and we had to wait 2.5 hours for that. We did get a $50 credit for this inconvenience. Our room was comfortable but somewhat dated. Be aware that windows don’t open in rooms so there’s no enjoying the ocean air; you have to use the A/C. Beds were comfy and we slept well but were glad we only stayed 1 night.

Coral Reef Hotel checked off all our boxes. Affordable, clean, comfortable, simple and perfect for our 7 night stay in Kauai. Banana bread was a nice addition from the office. We highly recommend. Mahalo!
