Check in is 3 pm , we got to the hotel at 2:30. Arrived at the front desk and had to wait for the person to get to the front, stayed our room was not ready , but maybe by 2:45. So our family took a seat in the very nice lobby. Everything is very modern, clean, and fresh. Lobby restrooms were clean and well kept. Four different groups arrived after us and were all told their rooms were not ready. Seemed odd, but I got the feeling it's policy no one checks in before three. At 3 pm the line was now very long and suddenly all rooms are ready and we were the last to get in. There is a terrace on the second floor which is nice but was empty most of the time. The train which is across the street is loud ! Especially since the station is close by so you hear the horn. The breakfast in the morning is okay- seemed that when we got down at 8:45 - served 7 am to 10 am, most food was gone and not being replenished . None of the staff was rude but also not very helpful, always hiding in the back . The room does have a fridge - no freezer in it. The rooms are very nice and feel new. The hotel is very close to old town Newhall so plenty of places walking distance.
