Some good, some meh…
We stayed on the first floor in the adjacent building with the pool. Kids loved the water slide. The room had an awkward layout with the dresser and television cutting off half the room and a single, lonely armchair. The AC did not work and we had to open the windows to cool off. Thus we were awoken at 5am to service vehicles outside our room. The playroom was great! They had complimentary popsicles for the kids.

It's been my second time there and just love this place. I would recommend it to anyone. For business, family, couple, even pet friendly! They have a choice of breakfast buffet or à la carte. And the service is just amazing! And don't forget their ghost tour!!

This is a great property, well-run in a fantastic area. We plugged the car in, and pretty much walked everywhere in town for two days of amazing food, great beer and lovely scenery. The hotel staff was great, the environment is a great mix of luxe and chill, even the breakfast buffet was great! I'm definitely getting tired of the Dog thing, why there are dogs barking in a nice hotel is beyond my understanding, but....

Very nice hotel, somewhat dated, but very quaint. Beautiful location, beautiful grounds. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. We only stayed one night, but there were lots of activities that were available, if you stay longer. We did not eat any meals there, so cannot comment on the food.

This is a grand old hotel. We very much enjoyed the historic beauty of the place. The King bed deluxe room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Ate at Braxton dining room one evening. Food was very good. Enjoyed drinks by the outdoor fire pits and the big comfortable wingbacks by one of the several fireplaces. We really liked this place but the service level was inattentive for a Hotel of this quality. This was an issue we experienced throughout the hotel.
