INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING START TO FINISH
My stay was an incredibly frustrating experience start to finish. We arrived after dark in the rain and could not find parking. There did end up being a parking garage, but it was not clearly marked. Our check-in process was painfully slow even though I had checked in online. Our check in person was in training and needed assistance; the person who came out to provide assistance never greeted us, spoke to us or smiled. The guest internet required us to be a member; the public wifi we could access was slow. When dining, our bill included a charge for French Fries when the menu clearly stated they were included with our meal. The server caught and corrected the error but it shouldn't have happened at all. Our on-tap beer was flat and sour. In our room, our TV wouldn't come on. We called the desk and was told a tech would come, but the tech never arrived. We figured out ourselves that the TV was unplugged. This, of course, required us to navigate a labyrinth of cords. There was no ice in the ice machine. Midway through our stay, our room key card quit working requiring us to go to the front desk for assistance. When I went down for morning coffee, the server was not set up and ready even though it was 15 minutes after the posted start time. The woman who checked us out did not greet us or smile; she was actually eating and spoke to us with her mouth full of food. I have rarely experienced such a frustrating hotel stay with such poor customer service.

Upon check in I was told that they only had us booked for one room and I had a receipt that showed I had successfully purchased two. The front desk said something wasn’t communicated properly. They accommodated us under an additional “corporate” room so we wouldn’t be charged for a third room while they resolved the mix up.

Civic Center parking and walkway a plus!
We booked a room for a comedy event we were attending. Happy suprise when we got to our hotel, it has a walkway directly to the Peoria Civic Center (where our event was being held). This avoided a parking fee or uber to get to the event. Hotel does charge $15 for parking, but other parking there for event would have cost us $25. All good. One thing to know, if you want to use room service, use the room service button on the phone. We tried to get room service at 10:00 pm and was told by front desk that it was closed. We found out the next a.m. that front desk does not know squat about room service and that it actually comes from the hotel next door. So we had no diner. But all else great.

Disappointed hot tub was broken. Staff was nice. Restaurant - dinner,could not get a napkin with all 3 silverware in it, and as a steakhouse should always have steak knives not butter or regular knives for dinner. Food was fine but some entries confusing with different prices and what is included. As for breakfast, much better. Beffet that won't cost over $100, make your own waffles with waffle maker. Room was slightly cold, despite fan being always on. Hallway was even colder, and you can tell there was a heating issue as space heaters were scattered all over Lobby. Came for the Muppets exhibit at the Riverfront Museum. One last thing. Although it almost seemed we were the only guests, upon checkout on a Tuesday we were surprised to see police in lobby with a woman who apparently lost something. Checkout was fast.

The room itself was very nice. The beds were comfortable. The area the hotel is in is typical of a downtown area and we did have a few people approach us asking for money as we parked and unloaded our bags. My one complaint is that I was looking forward to the hot tub and it was blocked off with caution tape and was not in service.
