Cheap and cheerful
The hotel seemed very short staffed, the receptionist was working in the bar as well. Had to wait 10 minutes until somebody came. Queued at the bar for 15 minutes to be served and waited 45 minutes for our food to come, which however was very nice.
The room was comfortable and clean and a great location in the town centre. Great to have free parking.
Perfectly nice for the money.

Dirty
The bathroom was very dirty. Piles of dust and bits in the corners. Marks on the mirror. Marks on the floor. Stained floors and walls. Just not very nice. The lighting wasn't good enough to see the bedroom well, which we took for a blessing.

Run down and very dated
Very dated and very basic run down accommodation, we got Rudely woke early by the extremely lound cleaning staff how did not seem to care about the people possibly still sleeping as they shout down the corridors didn’t help our room seemed to be opposite the store room which was left wide open while they have a loud chin wag ! Beds were clean and tidy and comfortable enough for the price ,bathroom was dated with lack of maintenance, my wife didn’t even have a shower because it didn’t look clean and towels were tiny ! friendly staff on arrival tho couldn’t find our booking on the system at first due to computer problems probably dated like the rest of the place ,

Cheapish but not Cheerful
The place is really rundown. The windows are single pane which is horrible for noise and climate. Very cold and could hear everything outside. There holes in the wall, very tired bathrooms, etc. The price isn't expensive, but if you can spare an extra £30 a night upgrade and go elsewhere.

Basic dirty room
Reception staff were friendly and check in was easy. The room wasnt clean, the bathroom smelt of urine, there were hairs on the surface, only one towel for 2 guests. The decor in the room needed updating, cracks, stains, windows that felt like they were going to go through. The bin hadnt been emptied prior. It was noisy and the extractor fan was useless so the whole room was condensed!! Extra pillows were good.
