Run down and very dated
Very dated and very basic run down accommodation, we got Rudely woke early by the extremely lound cleaning staff how did not seem to care about the people possibly still sleeping as they shout down the corridors didn’t help our room seemed to be opposite the store room which was left wide open while they have a loud chin wag ! Beds were clean and tidy and comfortable enough for the price ,bathroom was dated with lack of maintenance, my wife didn’t even have a shower because it didn’t look clean and towels were tiny ! friendly staff on arrival tho couldn’t find our booking on the system at first due to computer problems probably dated like the rest of the place ,

Cheapish but not Cheerful
The place is really rundown. The windows are single pane which is horrible for noise and climate. Very cold and could hear everything outside. There holes in the wall, very tired bathrooms, etc. The price isn't expensive, but if you can spare an extra £30 a night upgrade and go elsewhere.

Basic dirty room
Reception staff were friendly and check in was easy. The room wasnt clean, the bathroom smelt of urine, there were hairs on the surface, only one towel for 2 guests. The decor in the room needed updating, cracks, stains, windows that felt like they were going to go through. The bin hadnt been emptied prior. It was noisy and the extractor fan was useless so the whole room was condensed!! Extra pillows were good.

The location is good. Receptionist was friendly. Lift was broken luckily we was on the first floor. Hall Ways were dirty and looked like they had not been hoovered. The room was small and out dated the bathroom was awful the shower leaked the floor was old the toilet you had to flush hundreds of times to get it to flush. The bedroom was ok but in the corners they were dirt with insects dead , the radiator was rusty and had one temperature. TV was small the room needs a good revamp.

I stayed here with my daughter for 4 nights. The staff were lovely. We only actually encountered one coincidentally but she was so kind and super helpful. The room decor was a little dated but cosy and comfortable. The bed was fab! Absolutely a must after the trekking all day. We also had a lovely large bath which we used every day! The plug would let water out when using but I managed to fix it. I did attempt a shower but the power was so high the shower head flew off the wall and almost flooded the bathroom 😂 so we stuck with baths moving forward. The rooms are close together so if you’re a light sleeper it’s not ideal. You hear A LOT from the neighbours and pub downstairs. Again not an issue for us. The room had everything we needed including a smart tv which was nice for my daughter at night. Also had free WiFi and parking which is great 😊 I must mention the hot chocolate also. It’s pretty standard to receive the tea/coffee etc but this was a wonderful touch and it was so tasty! I even attempted to find the Welsh branded hot chocolate to take home. Sadly no joy! It is a dog friendly hotel and we did come across a lot of dog hair (don’t think that’s any fault of the cleaning) just one of those things! Will absolutely stay again when up in Snowdonia.

Wynnstay Arms, Wexham.
Friendly staff, room still a bit dated. We had window open and all we could hear for the whole stay was what I think was a refrigeration unit quite loud for the entire time. Food was good and reasonably priced.
