My Go-To Hotel in the City
This is my 3rd time staying here, and as always, it was a fantastic experience! Check-in was super smooth, and I was checked in by my favorite employee, Samir, as well as a newer employee, Hilary. Samir is so friendly and has such a great personality, and Hilary is an excellent addition to the team. They allowed me to check in 4 hours early, free of charge. Every single time I check in here, it's a wonderful experience. It's the consistency that keeps me coming back.
Upon arrival to my room, which was located directly next to an electrical closet, I noticed a loud and constant high-pitched sound coming from the electrical closet. I called the front desk and cracked my door open while waiting. Denise C from Housekeeping kindly knocked on my door to tell me it was open, and I told her why. She immediately called for someone to come, letting them know to please fix the issues or move my room. That's high-quality service, for sure! Denise C operates with Customer Service as her top priority.
Next, Mena came up to the room within a couple of minutes and showed me a way to circumvent the TV issue, and it worked perfectly. He then handled the high-pitched sound coming from the electrical room.
This is the first time I had had any issues, and these were minor and dealt with immediately. The New Yorker is my go-to every time I come to the city. It's in a great location, the beds are comfy, the rooms are great for NYC standards, and the staff is exemplary. See you all again soon!
