121 MIDDLE an urban inn

For the price, this is an amazing stay. We were worried about parking at first but there is a parking lot that we used for one night around the corner. $25/24 hr, $3.50/ hr. It’s really not bad, it’s the same amount at a Hilton or a Marriott. In front of the property though, there is metered parking and you can pay every two hours through an app to save an extra few bucks. The meter is 9am-6pm Monday to Saturday. Location is this property’s strongest suit. It was literally in the middle of everything that you would really want to visit, and all the restaurants you’d want to visit. I loved this property and that everything was pretty much provided. The kitchen was fully equipped if needed, just keep in mind that there wasn’t any oil haha. There was a TV in the room and living room and all you had to do was connect it to any device you had - no issues there. You get your room key on Flexipass when they provide you a unique code. The staffs are contactable via phone and message through Hotels.com. They’re pretty responsive!

The place is huge and located in the best location downtown near all the restaurants and popular spots to stop. The price point for this rental is perf et compared to the hotels and offers much more along with a well decorated apartment. The nice appliances and large bathroom were an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone staying for a few nights or more in Portland. My only criticism would be that the closets are located outside the bedroom - no big deal AND the place would very much benefit from a steam cleaning of the floors or running a good sturdy mop over them. They were swept clean but could use some deep elbow work to give it the rating of excellent for cleanliness.

Good location, walking distance to town. Beautiful space with all the amenities. Definitely would NOT stay at the recommended parking lots as they were quite expensive, walk one block down to HUBS furniture parking lot and you’ll get a much better deal. Construction sounds woke us up Sunday morning at 7:30 am.... Huge con was being unable to get through to anyone via text email etc until it was time to checkout, I requested an extra FLEXIPASS key for the friend that came with me and never got one so we had to stick with each other the whole weekend so they could get in, that was really inconvenient. That alone would make me want to stay somewhere else next time I’m in Maine.

121 Middle was perfect for our labor day weekend trip to Portland. It is ideally situated in the Old Port area, surrounded by bars, restaurants, and shops and just a short walk to the water. We booked a two bedroom suite, which was perfect for three people (one couple) traveling together. Lots of communal space with private bedrooms for far less than the price of multiple hotel rooms during the same stay.

Thisbwas a wonderful place to stay. It was extremely clean and comfortable. It was very convenient seeing that it was so close to everything. Everything is walking distance.

Photos online were a bit deceiving of the actual place. The apartment itself was nice and clean although the building felt a bit run down. The hallways smelled like cigarette smoke and felt dirty. The location was outstanding and close to everything and make it easy to explore Portland. We were frustrated by the construction next door that began at 6 AM two out of the four days we stayed there. Our hosts said they would give us a small credit and I have yet to see that hit my credit card... all in all a great location if you’re willing to opt for a slightly less nice of a place. Cross your fingers there’s no construction!!!

This is a fantastic downtown location. The room is comfortable and equipped with a superior kitchen - better than we have in our home. 21st century equipped with interesting tech such as an app-activated door lock, USB ports in the lamps, and smart lighting. Only drawback was the tv was not easy to operate — seemed to require a phone app that cost $35. So we skipped watching tv, no big deal.

Great place, well kept, clean and very modern. Fun stay. First time in Portland and if I ever come back will definitely consider staying again.
