Hotel was lovely. Would stay again.
Very nice hotel with very large bed and spacious room and clean, would stay again. Great location 200 yards from Princes Street, parking is a problem but that is what you will get in Edinburgh city Centre. Due to current hysterics the restaurant was closed which was a pity had to make do with carry out food.
Excellent location right by the York Place tram stop from the airport. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms could use a little TLC but that about it. Beds comfy and plenty of storage.
The place was strategic to the city centre. Love how affordable it was and it made my vacation more relaxing.
Enjoyed our stay, staff are really friendly and helpful. Location was perfect just a short walk to princess street and the castle. The rooms were really modern and clean. Breakfast was lovely with a lot of hot choices. I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel was in a great location for the city and had plenty of bars and restaurants around. The staff were very friendly and willing to help in any situation. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.
Nice property to stay Quite a good location only complaint rooms Were a bit dark and a bit small we had booked king room not entirely sure that’s what we got but apart from that ok
Our stay was pleasant. The location was great with just a short walk to all areas of the city centre, there is also a Tesco express over the road and plenty of eateries nearby. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure and was large enough. It was also nice to have the fridge in the room and complimentary snacks and toiletries for use. The only criticisms are that the curtain in our room was falling down and there was a large stained patch on the ceiling, but overally the room was thoroughly cleaned and COVID measures had clearly been taken. We had also pre-booked breakfast at the £7.50 rate but ended up having to pay the full £10 each which was unfortunate. The car park to use also wasn't clear, so we ended up temporarily leaving the car in another Q Park which we had to pay the full rate for. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast and bar was lovely (albeit a little overpriced). We had a good experience baring COVID in mind and we have booked again, although we are giving the Prince Street Hotel Indigo a go next time.
Our stay at Hotel Indigo Edinburgh was in August, just as the hospitality industry was reopening. The team wore masks everywhere, and there was ample hand santizer. They also removed all phones from rooms and gave a whatsapp number to communicate with the front desk through. The room itself was well cleaned but not well maintained in my view, lots of scratches on the wall (some very large) and mould in the bathroom area. The most irksome however was that the internet did not appear to work all 3 days of our trip. When I messaged the front desk i did not get a reply to text, and when we spoke to the first desk they kind of shrugged it off as not their problem and offered to let us use the front desk PC - not acceptable given the confidential nature of my work. In my view internet is a fairly basic amenity for any trip and I was very disappointed to have to tether my phone to do any work.
