Quality Inn University

The counter staff, manager and maintenance were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. I came to Michigan from NJ to move my son into MSU. The hotel is a so close to campus, I will definitely be staying at this hotel when I can return. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. I had a great sleep. The hotel is a little older but cozy and in line with price, it was perfect for what I needed. The pool area was shut down bc of COVID regulations but it looks like a lovely area that would be family friendly to hang out and enjoy once the world opens up again. My particular room smelled as if there was a smoker in the room and normally I would have asked to switch rooms but I just decided to stay. We've all had this situation one time or another and this particular instance I didn't fuss.

The customer service was outstanding!! The vents had dust covering it in the bathroom. The tea bags had gotten wet prior to us coming and they were sitting there, basically, no one had restocked the coffee basket. There was literally enough toilet paper for 1 person to use,so we had to go back down to the front desk gor some. My 5 year old wouldn't even take a bath because the tub was peeling. Just a very, very outdated hotel. The bathroom felt like we were about to be called out for count during lock-up. I won't stay here again. When I stay at a hotel, I want to relax and I couldn't here. The beds were BEYOND comfortable!

Location was great, friendly staff, very kind. Clean and comfy

No housekeeping. Had to ask for clean towels and coffee, cups etc. Had to bring out our trash. I realize Covid had a lot to do with this. But I will say the people at the desk were helpful. Rooms need to be updated though😞

That the breakfast buffet was closed due to covid. Not happy about that

Our room was dirty & it had a mouse trap behind the TV stand. They could be getting mice from the outside doors always being propped open. We also arrived there after 9 pm & there were a lot of people sitting on tailgates or standing around drinking & talking which did not make me feel safe for myself or my daughter. They also have signs stating they are not responsible for damage to vehicles. I then was worried my vehicle would be broken into by these people sitting & standing in the parking lot. This is more like a $49.99/night hotel or cheaper.

I think I got punished for leaving a honest review ! The air conditioning didn’t work ! One worker said turn it past 85 another said turn it right ! My room which has no windows To outside stayed above 72 degrees the whole time Even after I left the air conditioner on

The hotel is outdate and dirty. The carpet and chairs were very sticky, had mildew and the bathroom was disgusting. I would not recommend this hotel.
