Tugboat Beach

Tugboat Beach is best known for its snorkeling opportunities where you'll find a shipwreck along with tropical fish to explore under the water's surface. The shipwreck is of an old tugboat, hence the name of the beach, and access to snorkeling is easy because the beach doesn't have much to offer in terms of sand and surf.
While you and your family look under the waves, you'll find a variety of colorful tropical fish alongside the shipwreck as well as some impressive corals. It's easily accessible near Caracas Bay south of Willemstad.

The Curacao Maritime Museum is home to a massive collection of old seafaring artifacts from the area with a focus on the island's maritime history. When you and your family visit, you'll find some artifacts dating back up to 5 centuries when European invaders first arrived.
Among the collection here, you'll find models of old vessels along with documents, charts, and photos from times long past. Keep in mind that much of the history here involves the Caribbean slave trade, so it may not be appropriate for particularly young kids. You'll find this museum in southern Willemstad across the river from Otrobanda.

Curacao Ostrich Farm

The Curacao Ostrich Farm is home to a friendly population of ostriches and emus that you and your family can interact with directly while learning about them in the process.
