This was a big disappointment for us. The house is much too cold for winter, you can feel the cold coming off the walls. We went through half the firewood in a few hours, all huddling around the fireplace, and now all our coats smell like burned wood. We moved all the space heaters into the bedrooms and slept in hoodies and pants to get through the night. When they showed us to our room, they brought a picnic basket with breads and jams and yogurt. We asked about breakfast and they said here you are. So we had stale bread the next day and had to make our own coffee - it was too cold to eat yogurt. Then when we checked out, the same person who showed us our room said oh you can have brunch, it is free for you. I said why didn't you tell us yesterday, to which I received no response. At brunch there were hot eggs, bacon, and potatoes, which we would have appreciated, but we were so fed up with the place, we did not want to stay a minute longer. The house seemed nice enough, but it was freezing, and service was terrible, especially at $500. Definitely would NOT recommend.
