I prepaid for a room at this hotel through Expedia. When I arrived at the property, the staff at the front desk told me that they had cancelled their contract with Expedia and were no longer honoring any reservations paid through Expedia. The staff told me there was nothing they could do for me other than allow me to pay for a room right then and there, at a much higher rate than what I had already paid through Expedia. Because it was late at night and I was desperate, I begrudgingly paid the higher rate for one night, then spent the next two hours on the phone with Expedia arguing with people to get a refund on my prepaid reservation.
The bad impressions continued when I walked into my room. There was a band playing very loudly on the pool deck below the room until 11 at night. The windows had poor seals which let in sound and mosquitoes. The pillows had stains on them. The decor looked old and outdated.
The breakfast food was basic and disappointing, then I saw a cockroach crawling across one of the buffet plates.
I was happy to get out of there as soon as possible. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel at all costs.
